I keep it simple, healthy, wholesome and I know EXACTLY what goes into it: . 1T cacao 1T superfood mix (from #thesource which has LSA, maca, bee pollen, goji berries and I’m sure a few other delicious things!) 1T fine organic coconut... handful of roasted almonds banana 1/4 avocado around 250ml almond milk a single drop of peppermint oil . So I did some research yesterday and found a couple things to focus on: . push away from the ground when coming out of the cartwheel... position the hips over the shoulders to help with control stay low to the ground for entry to the Capoeira aú . Pushing the ground away definitely made a difference. But just like with my handstands I struggle to get my hips over my shoulders! . 17.01.2022 ...Monday’s are #admin days It wasn’t so long ago I used to sit at a desk for more than 6 hours during the day - now my body doesn’t like it - AT ALL! . If you’re having an admin day too why not give yourself a #movement break and try my quick mobility routine? 13.01.2022 #Aú365 - Day 1 - aú normal Inspired by the awesome #handstand365 challenge I thought I would start something a little more relevant to my own practice, being Capoeira! Aú = cartwheel!... Yes, we need to be able to handstand while playing Capoeira so I will still handstand every day! So during the last couple of Capoeira classes Ouriço Capoeira Cdo Perth has been taking us through different types of aús and I found that I suck at every single one of them! So I’m going to practice everyday and see how I progress!! Every couple of weeks I’ll change it up to a different type of aú (you’ll be surprised at how many there are!!) This one is aú normal I didn’t realise I looked so out of control while doing a normal cartwheel so I’m starting right at the beginning! Any tips and drills to improve these are most welcome And if you’re keen, join me!!

02.01.2022 #aú365 day 5 - aú normal . @kuatacdo reminded me of what the aú is for in Capoeira - one is to defend against the body being hit so it is not always necessary to have the legs swing high. I tried to keep my legs lower (I thought they were lower until I checked the video! ) and focused on tensing the quads and not wildly swinging my legs and it made sense!
