09.01.2022 This is super common question, especially for our new braces patients! The coloured (or clear) elastic is used to hold the wires into the slots of the braces. At each appointment, we need to remove your old elastics and replace them with new ones. This means, you get to pick a new colour at every adjustment appointment! We love seeing all the creative colour ideas our patients have & it’s such a fun part of having braces! (Speaking of which... We’ve been getting plenty of requests for red & green lately! )
