24.01.2022 Call For Submission! We are proud to announce that we have partnered up with Save Our Species to bring to you this years "Extinction" - a threatened species photography exhibition. And we want your work to be featured. Submit your best threatened wildlife and botanical photos now to the 2019 Extinction - threatened species photo exhibition.... The exhibition hopes to feature exquisite photos of threatened species, populations and ecological communities from all across NSW. The Flame Robin featured in this 2019 promo material was a favourite from last years exhibition, submitted by the talented Lachlan Hall Wildlife. Photographers submitting images are asked to nominate a local conservation group to receive the funds from the sale of their photo during the exhibition. Photographers can submit up to three of their best threatened species photos until submissions close on August 25. Email Simon at [email protected] for a submission form before the closing date. The exhibition will open on Thursday September 5th at a soon to be announced location. All photos featured in the exhibition will be for sale via silent auction. Please share with your photography friends and networks. Young Henrys

23.01.2022 Comin' in hawt at The Local @ Yours and Owls Fest this year. We are bringing you a very special sustainable collab with our good friends: your.plastic - which has blown up faster then SS:Challenger. So fast that at the time marketing materials were being drawn up, they didn't even have a name//branding, and therefore are stuck with their biological name inherited from Papa Ocean Space.. Brewed up in a backyard somewhere around the corner from your local after one too many m...outh frothing Swanny Latte Arts stirred in with a sprinkle of burnt plastic fumes, a ridiculous equation was born. Un-Recycable//Un-Wanted Plastic + a pair of tin snips + Your Mum's Sanga press + a bit of Creatif Juice + Thummus Tahinison = Your Plastic. Basically once the backyard chemistry fumes settled a beautiful sustainable art service was formed that educates and inspires you on how great plastic actually is as an upcycled material. Be sure to follow your.plastic as they melt and meld funk dangle bling bits out of your (discarded) plastic, and be sure to grab a ticket to Yours & Owls Festival to see what we brew up for this special occasion.

At the cinema you will have a chance to win a double pass to Yours & Owls festival in October. 04.01.2022 STOKED to hear that Wollongong Mayor Gordon Bradbury put forward a motion to Council to write to the DPI to remove the shark nets from our beaches and install SMART Drum Lines off our coast. A solid step in the right direction for Wollongong. Photo: Aristo Risi - The bouy holding up the shark net off South Beach Wollongong.
