16.01.2022 The Press Release for Wildlife of Gondwana has been released. Heres an extract: "DINOSAURS are back in the Otways. A major science exhibition that has smashed museum attendance records around the world is now open in Apollo Bay. It tells the story of world-first and unique discoveries in the Otways. The newly formed company Otway Dinosaurs, owned by local couple Greg Denney and Deb Moore, will host the Monash University Wildlife of Gondwana Exhibition until April. Seen by mi...llions of people in Taiwan, Italy, Argentina and Singapore, the exhibition is located on the Barham River Scenic Drive, and showcases the fossil record from the Great Southern Continent, which once included Australia, South America, Antarctica, Africa, and India. It includes fossils that span almost 3.8 billion years to the present, covering a massive range of specimens from the pin-up girl of the dinosaur world, Leaellynasaura, who was a tiny polar dinosaur discovered on the Otways coast, right through to the skeleton of the aggressive carnivore Tarbosaurus bataar (means ferocious lizard) more than 8 metres long." 15.01.2022 The Diprotodon is the largest marsupial that has ever lived and was found across Australia between around 1.6 million years ago to 46,000 years ago. Measuring up to 3m long and standing 2m high at the shoulder, it has been described as resembling a hairy rhino without a horn. Some people have suggested that the bones of this grand-daddy of the wombats and koalas are the source of bunyip legends.
