19.01.2022 We have been working hard in the garden and learning how to take care of Gods creation. We have also be learning how to work as a team to achieve the one goal and how working together is better than working on our own. Earlier in the week we worked as a team to construct our own design. What a great city and fishing boat.

19.01.2022 Well done to all of Year Six who presented their speeches this week. Congratulations to our ten (in school) Year Six Voice of Youth Finalists. We are extremely proud of their achievements and look forward to the final which will be held next Thursday 3rd September.

12.01.2022 This morning, Year 1 attended Parish Mass. We were invited to pray the Our Father as a blessing for the parishioners because Father Michael was so impressed by the way in which we joined in with prayers and participated in the Mass with reverence. Thank you to the parents and grandparents who joined us. We extend a warm invitation to all of you to join us next term at Parish Mass. Once the roster for Mass for Term 3 is released, please mark the date on your calendar.

12.01.2022 Year 4 completed their Science project called, Package it Better! Their task was to design a package to protect a fragile gift that could be delivered safely. The package needed to meet a list of set criteria, such as being aesthetically pleasing and using environmentally friendly materials. The students then tested their design and choice of materials through a few experiments! This was a lot of fun! The next step was to create a brochure outlining why they chose those materials and evaluate if they met the task description. Well done Year 4.

08.01.2022 This Thursday, 10th September is R U OK? Day. In these uncertain times, it has never been so important to check-in with our children, friends and family to ask R U OK?

07.01.2022 We love our grandparents so much and we were sad that we couldn't celebrate Grandparents Day in our normal fashion this year. In honour of them, each of our students created their own portrait or artwork of their grandparents. You can see these artworks displayed on our school fences along Forbes Street and McKay Lane until Friday. Knowing that not everyone would be able to make it to the school, we have also created a movie of all the artworks. We hope you enjoy! A reminder that on Friday, students are invited to come dressed to school as a grandparent. We will be doing lots of fun things in celebration of these important people in our lives.

07.01.2022 Today members of our SRC were invited by Fr. Paul to join an Earthcare Leadership Group via Zoom. We were also joined by representatives from Penola Catholic College, the OLOW Parish and Scott Carroll from CEDP. The students were able to share some of the initiatives our school has undertaken to care for our common home, the Earth. Fr. Paul also challenged the students to take on leadership of other initiatives that can bring our Parish and school communities together to be stewards of creation. Stay tuned for more details.

06.01.2022 Crazy Sock Day in Year 4!

06.01.2022 Our photos aren’t the best, but Year 4 wanted to share that they had an excellent and unique learning experience inside a cosmodome today. We saw the night sky projected with the present position of the constellations, planets, the Sun and and the Moon. We also saw a video which creatively explored how night and day and the seasons occur.
