24.01.2022 SA Rapid Bay: Beach Clean On Sunday the SA team joined Gulf Skindivers at the beautiful Rapid Bay for a beach clean. Prior to our beach clean, the skin divers did their own clean up in the water around the jetty removing fishing line and tackle from the pylons and an assortment of items dropped off the jetty. The group regularly removes this rubbish when out for their usual dives. For the beach clean we had 38 volunteers join us. Rapid Bay is a popular camping spot and tends ...to have a lot of single use items left behind. We found a huge number of cans and bottles and an overwhelming amount of broken glass. We collected a total weight of 61kg not including a large steel column. Our next listed SA clean is on 15th December at North Haven (event: SA North Haven: Marina Clean). Keep an eye on our events page for more details. *Please feel free to tag yourself in the group photo

23.01.2022 SA North Haven: Marina Clean Today the SA team held a cleanup at the North Haven Marina after a tip off from Laura of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Radelaide as it was in need of some TLC plus it's been a year since we've visited the area. Thank you to the 20 volunteers who joined us to collect a total weight of 37kg of rubbish. This is a surprising weight as it was mainly soft plastic wrappers and cigarette butts. Alot of the waste was clearly from the cafe on the water edge. ... Keep an eye on our events page for more details. *Please feel free to tag yourself in the group photo

20.01.2022 It looks like the weather will treat us this Sunday for our SA North Haven: Marina Clean. Remember to wear enclosed, sturdy shoes as a lot of the debris will be in the breakwater. Don't forget to wear a hat and sunscreen as it'll be a sunny 29. See you there.

16.01.2022 TAS Elwick Bay: Bay Clean What a mammoth morning! We had a grand total of 41 volunteers manage to remove an incredible 251kg of debris from Elwick Bay today Considering we hit the exact same spot only a month ago, it goes to show how effective the reed beds are as a catchment.... Thank you to everyone who came down today, especially to the ever faithful Bill Harvey Cr City of Hobart and Michael from One Citizen who is doing his bit by connecting locals and empowering them to do more for the environment every day (check them out on Facebook and Instagram). Keep your eyes peeled for the next event which will be up in the coming days. *Please feel free to tag yourself in the group photo
