22.01.2022 Congratulations to our youngest Riverkeeper Ambassador, PLC Sydney student and City of Canada Bay resident Hannah Chalmers who has won the Young Legends Environment Award category of the Keep Australia Beautiful NSW Sustainable Cities Awards being held today. It’s a wonderful recognition of Hannah’s enthusiasm and hard work to raise awareness of pollution in our waterways and ways we can all make a difference. Hannah is also a finalist in this year’s Science Teachers Association of New South Wales Young Scientist Awards for her ‘Stormwater. It bugs me’ project. Well done Hannah! The PRCG sponsored 11 places in the course, enabling staff from some of our member councils and Riverkeeper Network volunteers to attend. Many thanks to the AUSMAP trainers for sharing their knowledge and experience and Concord and Ryde Sailing Club for providing the venue.
