05.01.2022 The OIympic Winter Institute sends its sincere thoughts and healing energy to Triple Winter Olympian and past OWIA Director, Steven Lee who suffered a stroke at his home in Falls Creek on Sunday. Steve is under observation in Melbourne with family. Steve's love and passion for Alpine Skiing has seen him reach the pinnacle of his sport with World Cup success while representing his country at the '84,' 88 & '92 Olympic Games. Steve is universally loved and admired by the Australian Skiing community & abroad, we wish him all the best on the road to recovery. We know that you can do it.

05.01.2022 We are greatly saddened by the news of 2018 Winter Olympian Ekaterina Katia Alexandrovskaya's passing in Moscow last night. Katia with partner Harley Windsor made history as Australia's first World Champions, claiming the Pairs Skating World Championship in 2017 and were also the first Australians to win an ISU event, before making their Olympic debut at PyeongChang 2018. Katia will be remembered as a gifted skater who was determined to be the best she could be and a youn...g person of enormous potential. Our thoughts are with her family, Harley, friends, teammates and the figure skating community. RIP Katia

03.01.2022 We are deeply saddened at the sudden passing of triple Winter Olympian, Alex Chumpy Pullin today. Chumpy was a dual world champion, role model and icon of the World Cup SBX community. He will be remembered fondly for his passion and dedication to his sport, team mates, coaches and global snowboarding community. Our sympathies go out to his family, loved ones, teammates, coaches and snowboarders like him all over the world who he inspired to attack life with everything you have on every day, just like he did. RIP Chumpy.
