24.01.2022 Recently we had the opportunity to work with Mosaic Property Group - helping them to install a new bank of 7 conduits for their up and coming development. __ Between the large mix of trades on site, inconsistent rain showers and working right alongside the road with materials being unloaded every 20 minutes, we encountered constant interruptions to our program. __... To get the job done as planned and play our small role in ensuring this project is delivered on time and within budget, we had to be smart and efficient with our time, leveraging the detailed planning that went into the project prior to arrival on site. __ Where’s the fun without a little challenge! __ Get in touch at 0417 730 549 or visit www.ozcat.com.au to learn more.

22.01.2022 Open-heart surgery on footpaths alongside busy Brisbane streets is just another day in the office for the OZCAT Civil team. While some see digging amongst live power cables and services as a challenge... detailed excavations are our bread and butter.

22.01.2022 When setting rag-bolts, there are engineering standards. __ We don't just rely on rocks and other scraps of material lying around the job site when it comes to shoring up our lighting foundations. We come prepared with sand bags. __... This is so the right amount of concrete is used, sure, but most importantly to avoid any over pour back into the trench making a mess. __ We always make sure that we have the right tools and equipment on hand... and we get a better result for it! __ Get in touch at 0417 730 549 or visit www.ozcat.com.au to learn more.

22.01.2022 It’s a challenge but we work around it Recently we’ve been lucky enough to be a part of the West End State School power supply upgrade and it has been a great opportunity for the team to prove OZCAT’s capability. Working in and around live services (not to mention an 11KV high voltage cable sitting right in alignment of works) to install a new bank of 7 conduits has not come without challenges.... We needed to cut the concrete path, delicately rock break everything below 600mm depth, and then use our hands, shovels and hammers to remove the concrete 4-way that housed the cable and re-direct it onto the opposite side of the trench to fit in with the new 7 stack. It’s exactly these types of detailed excavations that OZCAT Civil specialises in what a project! Visit our website at www.ozcat.com.au to learn more.

18.01.2022 "LEADING FROM THE TRENCHES" __ Leading from the trenches with DEWALT power tools in hand! Always a pleasure assisting our client SDF Electrical Pty Ltd to deliver their projects. Here we’re installing comms conduits and pits through the carpark at the Logan Hyperdome for the principal building contractor Built. __... Just another great day in the office! __ Get in touch at 0417 730 549 or visit www.ozcat.com.au to learn more.

17.01.2022 The team are out on site at Richlands working with McNab today, potholing for existing high voltage cables as part of our services location safety before we begin trenching and installing Energex conduits! _ Get in touch at 0417 730 549 or visit www.ozcat.com.au to learn more.

17.01.2022 While our machines play a large role in most projects, they can't get to everything. This is why the team use wacker packers when backfilling tight spots and trenches as it provides a more focused and direct compaction to ensure - well in this case specifically- that these streetlight and comms cables are installed and buried appropriately. 07.01.2022 Our crew truck might not be the most exciting vehicle here at OZCAT Civil, but it’s just as important in our eyes when it comes to making sure our projects run smoothly. Whether it be shade tents, environmental spill kits or a full range of power tools we come equipped and ready for any civil construction challenge thrown our way.

05.01.2022 "Safety Takes Discipline!" __ When working in high-risk environments and cutting open busy Brisbane streets, live services cannot be left exposed! __... Boarding and barricading excavations on pack up is a critical component of the job, not an after thought. Safety takes discipline! __ Get in touch at 0417 730 549 or visit www.ozcat.com.au to learn more.

05.01.2022 Executing a detailed excavation safely, smoothly and efficiently involves more than a well-oiled machine and a talented operator it requires a team effort. Every time our buckets hit the ground; we make sure one of our Energex accredited safety spotters (like Tiny here) are standing close by to actively assist our diggers.
