24.01.2022 Handball is back! After a brief intermission, this weekend sees the formal return of training and playing outdoors for Australian Handball players. Of course we will be respecting social distancing rules where possible. It is however tough to think over these last 10 weeks of 'lockdown' what your body, mind and soul go through. We have needed to adapt to this new way of living and change our daily lives to become stronger, both mentally and physically. Although this did mean... our 100 year celebration was put on hold for now, it means we can rebuild for the future and make this year ours, we've still got 7 months to go and anything can happen. 2020 is not over and although we look forward to the 2021 celebration, there is still plenty to achieve this year. Players will becoming back even more hungrier for the title. The beasts of the Australian handball players will be unleashed. But for now, this weekend is handball time.

21.01.2022 Hey all, just over 7 months to the Australian 3 Wall Handball Championships in Adelaide. This is set to be the biggest Championships yet as we celebrate 100 years of Handball competition in Australia. The major draw card of the event sees an International Teams event with Australia v USA v Ireland set to take place. A full list of events will be released in the coming months with Qualifying events to take place prior to the event for Open classes.

21.01.2022 Dear Friends of Handball I write with much regret to inform you that our ‘100 Years of Handball’ celebration has been postponed and that the Australian Handball Championships in Adelaide have been cancelled. With the current circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the best interests of our players and visitors in mind, the Australian Handball Councildetermined very clearly that our games couldn’t proceed. Needless to say we are disappointed.... The recognition of the Team of the Century will have to wait a year. There were a number of members of that team who were coming to Adelaide for the celebration. I feel disappointed for them. In cancelling the Carnival we have also had to advise the eight international visitors that the ‘Vic Di Luzio Tri Nations Challenge’ had to be suspended. We are hoping to resurrect that challenge in the new year. My concern now is that a number of players and visitors will be out of pocket after making flight and accommodation arrangements. We apologise for that. We as a Council could not see an alternative. This is an unprecedented situation and one we will get through based on the strong foundations we have built over 100 years together. Thank you all for your patience and we will be back hitting soon. Given the time of year of this clipping [our 3Wall Nationals are played over Easter] these results are likely from one of the final rounds round of the yearly 3Wall South Australian State Titles.... 02.01.2022 _______________________________________________________________________________________________ The Australian Handball Council invites the Handball community in the United States to celebrate our 100th year of 3-Wall Interstate Handball.... The Australian Handball 3-Wall Championships will be played April 9th 14th 2020 In Adelaide, South Australia, Australia Formal Australian handball championships began 100 years ago involving all the capital cities around the nation which was the commencement of our Annual Interstate National Championships which have since always been played over the Easter weekend. We are celebrating our handball achievement of 100 Years of State Competition with an International Invitation to our 3-Wall Handball mates from the United States and Ireland. The top four players from the USA and Ireland have been invited and will compete with the top players from Australia in the Australian Open Singles and Doubles event. In addition, an ultimate 4 Player Team Challenge is to be held between - Australia v USA v Ireland A full range of singles and doubles events covering all age requirements will also be held over the same Championship period. The Centenary Committee is keen for you to pencil the date in your diary. Send us an email and make contact. We will advise you of the tournament details as they unfold in the coming months. Accommodation / Entry Fee / Entry Deadlines will be advised in due course to all interested players and supporters wishing to attend. 01.01.2022 It has been over 30 years since Australia has hosted an International event, the last time we fornally hosted an international event were the World Titles back in 1988. The involvement of the International Players in the Open Singles and Doubles event will be great test for our local champions and a great learning curve for our younger players who they could play against. Further, the International Tri Series of Australia v United States v Ireland will be a great event to be... involved in for the players and to be watched by the spectators. It is with great pleasure we can formally announce the Invitational 8 of both USA and Ireland into the Tri series as well as the Open singles and Doubles events. After a number of months of negotiations, the eight invitational International Players have been selected and locked in: From the United States - Sean 'The Freak' Lenning, Abraham Montijo, Vic Perez and William 'Lefty' Polanco From Ireland - World 1 Wall Handball Champ 2018 Conor McElduff, Gavin Buggy, Gerard Coonan and Sean Kerr Australia is yet to lock in the Team to compete against such a strong line up against these two nations but be sure this is a competition you don't want to miss.
