25.01.2022 This week we were fortunate enough to have the amazing Charlestown Rotary Club volunteer their time to help us pack food at our hamper hub. How lucky are we to have such fabulous support from our local community?!

25.01.2022 Our team working hard to get hampers and cooked meals to those in need around the Hunter. What a great news story last night to showcase our team and yellow army and all of the amazing work they're doing!

24.01.2022 Since the 25th May, OzHarvest Newcastle has packed a whopping 6,776 hampers (that’s 89,188 kg of food!!), cooked 12,886 meals and distributed them all to people doing it tough right now. Both of these food relief programs have had such a positive impact in our local communities but it would not have been possible without the support we have received from the NSW Government, local partners, and our army of amazing volunteers Thank you!

23.01.2022 OzHarvest is conscious that accessing food relief is stressful enough, but as COVID-19 continues to unfold, it has become even more challenging. OzHarvest is exploring ways to increase the volume of food that we are supplying to our registered charity partners who are supporting so many communities experiencing hardship. If you or someone you know requires food relief, please visit https://askizzy.org.au/ to find a charity in your neighbourhood.

22.01.2022 It's hard to function without coffee... but thanks to Crema Coffee Garage we don't have to! These guys have kindly donated coffee and hot chocolate to keep our volunteers fueled who are busy everyday packing hampers for those in need. Thanks for keeping our team caffeinated!

21.01.2022 Tomorrow on World Food Day, we are asking those who can to #breakbread by donating the price of a meal to help feed someone in need. This Friday, #breakbread by virtually sharing a meal with someone who needs it right now. For the cost of a morning latte or piece of vegemite toast, OzHarvest can deliver 10 meals to someone who really needs it. 17.01.2022 The little superstar Brodie came to visit us last week at the PCYC Lake Macquarie with 4 huge boxes of amazing goodies that he had collected for Snacktember from his day care and local community. We showed Brodie our hamper production line and he even offered to give us a hand to pack some boxes! Brodie agreed that we should put some little snacks in each hamper to help feed a local family of four doing it tough. We gave him a massive OzHarvest thankyou and he and his mum were proud as punch, and so they should be!! What a great kid who has helped show that age is no barrier when you put your mind to something. Well done Brodie!
