22.01.2022 You may have noticed a bright splash of yellow driving around the Port Macquarie community as OzHarvest recently welcomed a brand-new food rescue vehicle! Thanks to a generous donation from Sovereign Hills, Lewis Land Group’s Port Macquarie master planned community, we have been able to replace our old van and ensure that we continue to deliver good food to people in need throughout the community. 13.01.2022 We believe education transforms lives! OzHarvest FEAST inspires primary school-aged students to reduce food waste, eat healthy and become change-makers in their community. More than 295 schools nationwide have signed up to FEAST and we are excited to let you know we have funding available for schools in the Southern Highlands area to sign up to FEAST at no cost BEFORE the 1st of May 2021! Your school will get access to the curriculum package, kitchen kits for cooking in the classroom, teacher training and ongoing support! 11.01.2022 Food Rescue Drivers urgently required in Port Macquarie and Wauchope. We are needing Food Rescue drivers, to collect produce and drop off. If you are comfortable driving a 1 tonne refrigerated van and have some spare time, we operate Mon-Thurs and Sunday afternoons. If you would like a trial run prior to completing a Volunteer’s Application and induction, please contact Linda on 0438 435 034.
