25.01.2022 Bottles Can Change Lives and feed those in need! It’s National Recycling Week (9-15 Nov), and we would love to share details for how you can support, not only the environment, but OzHarvest through the Bottles Can Change Lives appeal. Until 21st February 2021, every 5 drink containers donated through TOMRA recycling machines (located in Osborne Park, Kelmscott. Myaree, Joondalup and Belmont) will help OzHarvest deliver 1 meal to someone in need. It’s a win win! We’d absolutely love if you could spread the word to your colleagues, friends and family for them to get on board too. #containersforchange #bottlescanchangelives #returnandearn

25.01.2022 We may be a bit bias but we truly have the best volunteers! Ann, Jana and Val are assisting with our Cooking for a Cause event today but they still found time to wave to the 6 million volunteers across the country who contribute to our communities every day. #WaveForVolunteers #NVW2021 #yellowarmy

25.01.2022 Floreat Park Primary School put their best yellow foot forward this week in support of OzHarvest. Thanks to the superb leadership of the school’s Student Councillors, staff and Rotary Club of Cambridge the whole school looked magnificent dressed in their yellow best and have made a positive impact through their generous donations including 465kg towards our Festive Food Drive. Their financial donation was also greatly appreciated to help the wheels of our vans turning! #GoYellow #schoolfundraiser #communitygiving #givealittlelove #nourishourcountry #festivefooddrive

24.01.2022 Father's Day is quickly approaching! This year, say "I love you Dad" with an OzHarvest virtual card and provide meals to people in need at the same time. We have four pun-derful cards to choose from and will provide 20 to 200 meals for Aussies doing it tough right now. 23.01.2022 It was a pleasure to team up with the @watercorporation yesterday for our Cooking for a Cause. While banging pots, a tune or two was belted out and an incredible 100 meals prepared for those in need. Thank you to all involved and a shout out to the team from @rendezvousperth for allowing us to use their kitchen space. #cookingforacause #100meals #foodrescue

21.01.2022 Our National Food Rescue Partner @woolworths_au have launched their 6th Annual OzHarvest Christmas Appeal, running across all stores and online until Christmas day with the aim to raise a whopping $3 million! This would allow us to provide an extra 6 million meals to people in need! Share the giving spirit this holiday season by adding a donation at the checkout or purchasing some delicious Woolies Santa Cookies, with 50c from each packet going back to OzHarvest. Remember, just 50c allows OzHarvest to provide a meal to someone in need this Christmas. #christmasappeal #fundraising #foodrescue #foodrelief #festivejoy

20.01.2022 Thanks to our friends @Woodside for their ongoing support this year which included keeping one of our vans on the road during COVID-19 and a membership to @Volunteer WA. We already think our volunteers are top notch and this membership will allow us to spread our yellow love further!

18.01.2022 Thank you so very much for supplying our families with hampers. They have been so very much appreciated and families have all commented on how fresh the veggies are and to also be able to have eggs is a luxury. One family couldn’t wait to make a zucchini slice and the children ate the fruit and wanted more it was so delicious. Thank you so very much! Communicare HIPPY (Armadale) We’ve been overwhelmed from the response to our #HampersforHope program! #foodrelief #nourishingfood #hampers

17.01.2022 Every week for the past year we’ve worked closely with the amazing kids from @BambaraPrimarySchool and their incredible chaplain, Sylvia from @YouthCare to provide nourishing produce for their school hampers and breakfast program. We are truly grateful to work alongside a team that shares our passion to ensure that good food does not go to waste while providing vital food relief to those in need

15.01.2022 Sometimes it’s hard to see the silver lining of some situations however that’s just what Josh and his incredible team @laika.coffee produced today with their wonderful food donation of 300+ hamburgers. These hamburgers were always destined to feed those in the local community and while their intended path was slightly different than first planned, the smiles on the faces of those who will be fed today is something the @laika.coffee and @perthfootballclub should be proud of! #foodrescue #feedingthelocalcommunity

15.01.2022 We should all start our week with a bunch of flowers ... happy Monday! #specialdelivery #foodrescue #flowerrescue #portschool

15.01.2022 We love our volunteers! Our volunteers provide us with their time, energy, skills and so much more to help us to spread the word about our operations and keep the wheels of our vans turning. Today we have the awesome @craigkinderfood on the road to photograph a day in the life of an OzHarvest driver. Craig is one of Perth’s leading food photographers and we can’t wait to see what he captures on the road today! #yellowarmy #volunteering #foodphotography #foodrescue

12.01.2022 Tuesday tub talk. Every Tuesday our yellow army joins us onsite to make our tubs sparkle while catching up on the week's gossip and hard hitting news stories. This pic captures their more serious side! #yellowarmy #containerwashing #ozharvestfamily

12.01.2022 This month with the assistance of Serco Asia Pacific we’ve kicked off our #SpringintoAction Food Drive. While many of us here in WA have started to resume a number of our everyday activities, there are still segments of our community that remain deeply impacted by COVID-19. Now more than ever we need the power of the community to assist us with vital food relief. If your organisation or community group would like to run a Food Drive, please get in contact for further details. #fooddrive #communitysupport #foodrelief

12.01.2022 My favourite things about working for OzHarvest is our amazing team! It’s by far the best bunch of people I’ve ever worked alongside. Also seeing the wide-eyed bewilderment of our volunteer Van Assistants at the sheer volume and quality of food being discarded and then their smiles when we deliver it to an agency is incredible. 08.01.2022 Reconciliation Week is an important time to reflect on how we support First Nation’s people in our communities. We recognise that we work on the lands of the Whadjuck people, and that reconciliation is more than a week it’s a daily commitment to support and advocate for First Nation’s communities every day. We are proud to partner with organisations such Derbarl Yerrigan, Clontarf Foundation and Aboriginal Legal Services to provide much needed food relief for community. Th...e food boxes provided to the Aboriginal Legal Service Youth Engagement Program this week have been greatly appreciated. They have gone to families in need in the Perth metro area who are often struggling to put food on the table. The families are very appreciative and the service that Ozharvest has provided is essential for people and families doing it tough in the community. Roy Blurton, Aboriginal Legal Services #reconciliationweek #alwayswasalwayswillbe #foodrescue #foodrelief #ozharvest

07.01.2022 The Scarborough Sunset Markets are on again this evening and we’ll have our OzHarvest Waste Warriors onsite at Scarborough Beach from 5pm. Our awesome team will be manning the four waste stations to ensure that all the event’s waste goes into the correct bins and we’ll also have some of our fabulous merchandise on sale too did we mention our OzHarvest socks are perfect stocking fillers! #scarboroughsunsetmarkets #cityofstirling #yellowarmy #reducelandfill

07.01.2022 "OzHarvest provides a win-win in that good food doesn’t go to waste and hungry people get fed! Food brings people together so by doing these two basic things you are also establishing relationships. I believe that food is symbolic of love when words are inadequate." Sofia, OzHarvest Food Rescue Driver #foodrescue #foodrescuehero

04.01.2022 Another perfect day in Perth! Our drivers often tell us that they have the ‘best view in the house’ and we tend to agree when we see this pic taken from one of our food collection locations. #foodrescue #nourishingourcommunity #bestview #perthisok

03.01.2022 It was great to get back in the kitchen for a Cooking for Cause event with the legends from Lendlease. Together we created 100 meals including pasta and ricotta made from scratch! A big shout out to our friends at Comestibles for allowing us to use their kitchen thank you to all involved.

03.01.2022 Hot off the press - our CEO and founder, Ronni Kahn's first memoir is out now! 'A Repurposed Life' traces Ronni's early life in South Africa, to a commune in Israel and finally settling in Australia to discover a profound new way of living. 01.01.2022 These legends have joined the #PushForBetter challenge. Over the next 25 days, Paul and Andrew (and a few others in the OzHarvest team!) will each look to do 3,318 push-ups and raise awareness around mental health issues which affect 1 in 5 Australians each year. Together we can all push for better mental health. #PushForBetter #ThePushpChallenge #MentalHealthAwareness #PushUpChampions #PushForBetterMentalHealth
