24.01.2022 This new kit is proving very popular! Production of it began in mid-October last year, and the machines are still running. Slight delay in orders until next week ... awaiting another print run of decals, and another load of custom kit boxes to arrive.

24.01.2022 OzMods is alive and well during this testing period of history. We are operating as normal, so check out our website www.ozmods-kits.com for any items you require. P.S.: Our PC-9 kits 7202B are 7204 are back in stock, and also all the Dash 8 - 300 kits.

24.01.2022 Surprising what one finds in one's product range that one doesn't remember is there! Had it not been for an enquiry and purchase last week, these four items would have gone unnoticed forever! First up are two 1/35 weapons: Lee Enfield .303 rifle and M60 machine gun - packs of two for Aus$3 each. Next are 1/35 Aussie Slouch Hats and Tin Helmets - packs of four and five respectively for Aus$5 each.... (Will get these up on the web site also.)

21.01.2022 Michael Stanley from Iowa in the USA is an avid OzMod's modeller, and shares two of his recent builds (1/144 Lockheed F-80 and Grumman Panther) in these two links. Michael also talks about his methods used to achieve the Alclad finish on the F-80. https://photos.google.com//AF1QipNSFvkVzxJS5KgqocNxJoMQGOL https://photos.google.com//AF1QipNbtApRkUFOBZ-XGwsCt8EP5ZG

21.01.2022 Oz Mods new 1/350 scale Oberon class submarine. A good kit for beginners to resin kits. The majority of the build is very straight forward from clean up of the... parts to putting it all together. The only tricky bit is the clean up of the props and shaft area and getting them and the brackets to fit together nicely without breaking anything. I didn't follow the instructions with the construction though so hat could be the reason why mines a bit off each side. See more

19.01.2022 The Queensland Air Museum - by far the largest and most enterprising air museum in Australia - is desperately in need of expanding onto adjacent land to help accommodate its growing collection (the 100th aircraft is now in its possession). https://qam.com.au/ It is located at Caloundra Airport, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast (45 minute drive north of Brisbane, the State's capital). If you feel moved, please sign the petition so that political involvement can be activated to... achieve this goal. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Apart from being the recipient of major tourism and other awards, the Queensland Air Museum (QAM) is a completely volunteer-based organisation that has endured and successfully overcome many obstacles in its 40 year history. Its volunteers, particularly, include a large number of highly skilled and talented people who are committed to maintaining our aviation heritage ... a look at the QAM website quickly shows all they have achieved. Its next move, surely, will take it into the realm of one of the world's major aviation museum attractions. (Forgive my enthusiasm for this cause! I was a founding member of this Museum and still an active member ... and glad some of our OzMod's kits are on display in the modelling cases.)

18.01.2022 For our customers in North America, the UK and Europe ... now is a great time to purchase kits and accessories from Australia. Our Australian Dollar is way-y-y-y down against the US$, British Pound and the Euro. Grab Aussie stuff now, while this situation lasts!

16.01.2022 Also now back in stock are the OzMod's 1/144 Dash 8 - 300s. All kits are available - although the Air New Zealand decals are running low, so if you are wanting this kit please order soon!

16.01.2022 Congratulations to Matt Wood for his brilliant modelling of the OzMod's 1/144 DH Caribou. Finished in the trial Tea Tree Green scheme, as it appeared during Operation Anode with 38 Squadron.

14.01.2022 Shogo Takai in Japan has sent us these photos of his OzMod's 1/144 Grumman Panther. Fantastic result with such a small kit! Check out the OzMod's 1/144 kits at http://www.ozmods-kits.com/aircraft-kits-1144

11.01.2022 Accolades to Peter Reeves of Ipswich in Australia for his stunning build of the 1/350 HMAS Vendetta. Peter achieved this by modifying the OzMod's 1/350 Vampire kit ( http://www.ozmods-kits.com/ship-kits-1350 ).

09.01.2022 Michel Givord (born in France, but now lives in Melbourne, Australia) has sent us his build of the 1/72 OzMod's PC-9 in RAAF FAC livery. Brilliant workmanship here! Then again, everything Michel does falls into this category! It will be featured in an upcoming edition of the French Cocardes Magazine (Digital Version).

09.01.2022 Bob Gilliland has sent us this photo of his OzMod's 1/144 Bristol Freighter. Bob drew up the TAA decals on his computer and printed them out on decal paper on his Canon printer ... beautiful results! Bob worked in aircraft maintenance for TAA for 38 years, and is building up model collection of all the aircraft he worked on.

06.01.2022 Quite often we get asked: "What does OzMods really do?" Okay, we're a plastics manufacturer with our own inhouse injection machines, resin and small vacforming equipment. And these machines are used to produce virtually all our kits, conversions, upgrades, etc. (Large vacforms - such as the big 1/48 Caribou, metal casting, decals, etc - are produced by associate companies.) We also market our own products to the retail world, as well as direct to modellers via mail order. ...Practically all our kits and conversions are mastered inhouse, or by a small group of fellow modellers (i.e., there's only one person capable of mastering our military figures range, and that's the world-renowned sculptor, Phil Walden.) All this, however, accounts for only a half of our production output. The other half is devoted to custom and contract moulding work for a wide variety of clients: These are mostly other scale model brands encompassing almost the whole spectrum of the scale model/hobby industries - but we also undertake specialised moulding work for the real (1:1 scale that is) automotive and aerospace industries. The accompanying photos show just a very small proportion of the items that OzMods has produced/or currently produces for other brands and specialised contracts.

05.01.2022 Just released today is our latest military figure - a 120mm Private Military Contractor, superbly sculpted by Phil Walden. This one was built, painted and photographed by Graham McNamara. In the coming months OzMods will release no fewer than four new figures by Phil Walden. Stay tuned! This new kit is now listed on our web site - www.ozmods-kits.com

05.01.2022 John MacKay, from the US, has posted this article on the "Plastic Model Builders Group" FaceBook Page about his diorama utilising the OzMod's 1/32 Yokosuka Ohka kit. John says: "This diorama portrays US Marines discovering a Japanese Ohka during the invasion of Okinawa in 1945. I built the diorama for my brother because he is a student of everything associated with the WW2 invasion of Okinawa, owing to our father’s participation in the battle. I’ve titled the diorama 'Hey, ...boys, get a load of this!' "This diorama is in 1/32nd scale and features an OzMods resin kit of the Yokosuka type 11 Ohka, a diecast Jeep toy by New-Ray, and U.S. Marines figures by Airfix, all mounted in a display case by Master Tools." Congratulations John. This is an excellent example of your craft!

03.01.2022 From Albert Steiner in the US comes his rendition of OzMod's kit OZFIG004, Dingo Harris (New Guinea WWII). Albert made a couple of mods by replacing the Bren Gun with an Owen SMG, adding a grenade in his left hand, and several other slight additions (including a beard). The other figure is OZFIG003, Resting Digger (North Africa WWII). Albert is an OzMod's fan, that's for sure ... he's working on all eight of our military figure kits, which no doubt you'll see here in due cou...rse. Albert was born in the UK, and has lived in Sweden, Korea and for many years now has resided in the USA. He is retired from the US Army and Federal Veteran's Affairs, and is a prolific military figure modeller. (PS: Stay tuned for exciting news of more military figures coming to the OzMod's range in the not-to-distant future. After a couple of years "resting", master sculptor Phil Walden is currently working on several new figures.)
