25.01.2022 Marrungbu to Steve our local Worimi representative, for our smoking ceremony to start our patrolling season, and the explanation to why it is done very informative and muchly appreciated. This year we are facing many new obstacles, we in our small community will face these head on and come through smiling positively and at the end of the season in April we will see the success of a great year with some changes being made. Thankyou to #Priceline Forster for the gifts to our W...omen patrol celebrating 40yrs of active service. I believe the women enjoyed their gift bags of goodies and they had a great first day. If our season is to follow from the positive vibe from today we shall have an awesome season. Jerrad Allen President #mysurflife #slsnsw #lncsurflifesaving See more

18.01.2022 1st seating SOLD OUT. Still a couple of tables left on the Wed 8pm seating and Thurs seatings. We have chef's permission to accept a couple more bookings so be super super quick! www.trybooking.com.au/BNULB We have incorporated as much quality local produce into the menu as possible including local fresh seafood, buffalo, fresh cheeses and sourdough bread.... Zooming in on some of the dishes.. Comboyne culture feta and peach carpaccio. Traditionally, carpaccio is an Italian dish of thinly sliced raw beef. However, to turn this on its head, we are using thinly sliced peaches at the peak of their season, their sweetness offset by the saltiness of local feta cheese along with a hit of sweet bitterness of orange vincotto makes this dish a flavor bomb. Ceviche. Local freshly caught fish (we won’t know why type until the day, likely to be kingfish or snapper) is marinated in lime juice and chili which cooks the fish, served with fresh coconut and coriander. Although not Spanish this dish makes the most of the amazing seafood available in our beautiful paradise. Paella. Although this dish isn’t really a tapa, it is too delicious and Spanish to leave out!!. Think slowly sautéed onions and vegetables, crispy skin chicken, and rice all slowly cooked in chicken stock rich in herbs and spices including saffron and bay. YUM.

18.01.2022 Our ROOKIES getting induction to the radio and logging onto Surf com with patrol captain and trainer Dave.

16.01.2022 Some very good advice.. Please remember a few things, Covid is still about, we want beaches to stay open all season. Please stay your 1.5m apart. 1.swim at a patrolled beach between the flags, 2 Wear a life jacket if boating or fishing, ... 3. call 000 and ask for police in an emergency, 4. always swim with a friend, 5. don't swim if your intoxicated. 6. Visit the Beachsafe app for advice on patrolled beaches and beach conditions. Thanks Dave. See more

15.01.2022 MAKE A DONATION Pacific Palms Surf Life Saving Club (PPSLSC) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides surf life saving patrols of Elizabeth Beach between October to April each year. This family friendly beach attracts visitors each year and supports the seasonal economy. Last season your volunteer patrolling members watched over more then 26000 visitors to our beach. ... Your call out team were tasked to Myall Lake 13 rescued, Smiths Lake 2 rescued, Sandbar 3 rescued, Blueys Beach and the Taree Floods multiple assisted Your donations ensure that our volunteers have the sufficient equipment to keep the beach safe and save lives. As well as consistently training the skills of our current and new volunteers, we also repair and replace the equipment that constant exposure to the sun and sea can damage. Your donations make sure that both our volunteers and our equipment are rescue-ready. Your donation also takes the pressure off the volunteers that have done all the above with fundraising through out the year. https://checkout.square.site/buy/4SUY2DPJ3LIAAALIE3AAQ672

15.01.2022 Very sad result, Tough day in the office Never go in with out a floatation device if you are going to help someone in difficulties.

15.01.2022 Not that our organisation is a sport, there are pathways inside which is. 1 in 2 girls drop out of organised sport at the age of 15, but staying in sport has so many amazing benefits. What advice would you give to your 15-year-old self to stay in the game and inspire the next generation of women in sport?

14.01.2022 Club members Kel McCredie, Brooke McCredie, Rebecca Austin, Ray Austin, Karma Reeves , Jeanette Allen, Jerrad Allen, Dan Morgan, Janne Moran and David Vicary received NSW government citations for their involvement in the tasking of emergency services during the 2019/20 bushfires. The Palms were tasked with having IRBs ready to recover people along the coast from Seven Mile Beach to Seal Rocks , fortunately we were not called upon but valuable training and planning was put in place should we be tasked again.

09.01.2022 Well done Patrol 5 @slslnc At approximately 11:10am the State Operations Centre (SOC) received notification from NSW POLICE of a capsized vessel off Sand Bar Beach south of Forster. With immediate response, Lower North Coast Duty Officer 14 was briefed and the following assets were tasked to attend:... Pacific Palms IRB Lower North Coast Ski 3 LNC Duty Officer 11 and 18. Upon arrival to Sand Bar, the 3 POI’s were observed walking back from the rocks and along the beach with no injuries to awaiting SLS Duty Officers and NSW Police. Other assets involved in this incident were Westpac Rescue from Newcastle and Port Stephans Water Police, who were on their way back south after patrolling Wallis Lake over the weekend. As this incident ended and assets were being conveyed back to Pacific Palms slsc, LNC14 was tasked to a member of the public in distress at Tuncurry Rock pool due to the strong outgoing tide. Upon arrival no persons were located. These incidents just highlight the importance of inter agency cooperation and the need for the public to know their limitations. Remember, if you get into trouble, other put their lives at risk to save yours. - Always seek advice from Lifesavers/Lifeguards. - attend patrolled locations - log on/off with your local Marine Rescue NSW unit - advise others of where you are going and how long for. @slsnsw
