24.01.2022 YEAR 12 GIFTS We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to past PPSH student, Ryan Murphy and his local business, Virtue Glass & Glazing. We are proud to say that Virtue Glass & Glazing are also members of the Pacific Pines Alliance.... Virtue Glass & Glazing very generously donated the funds to purchase a gift for each of our graduates. With Ryan’s generous donation, we were able to purchase a USB stick for each student. On each USB stick we save many wonderful memories that will last a lifetime including the Yearbook, all photos from the formal, a special parting message and a video made by our staff to commemorate our graduating class’s final year at PPSH. Thank you so much for your generous gift. https://m.facebook.com/Virtue-Glass-Glazing-100457835139921/

19.01.2022 As many of you are aware Jack’s life was tragically taken in December last year. Jack part of the ‘Class of 2019’ before leaving school to start his apprenticeship at the end of term 1 last year. Since then, his parents and brother have channelled their grief into starting the ‘Jack Beasley Foundation’. Please see attached the flyer for the ‘Walk for Jack’. Funds raised will go towards raising awareness for the foundation who are in the process of creating an education program to deliver in schools around knife violence.

18.01.2022 We managed to get a football game and 2 futsal games in for the juniors before the end of the year. It was great to host Australian Islamic College on Monday and play some very competitive games, with great sportsmanship, to round out the year. The football game was for equal numbers of students from yrs7-9 and showcased some talented players. The Panthers took an early lead courtesy of a well taken goal by Jake Armour off a defence piercing through ball from Hunter Simpson. ...The lead was extended soon after, with the goalkeeper failing to deal with a free kick from Noah Meliendrez. Just after halftime, a defensive mix up gave the Islamic College a lifeline and they pushed hard for an equalizer. There many chances for each team throughout the rest of the match, but the Panthers managed to cling to the lead and take a 2-1 win. After a small break, it was onto the Futsal games, which were played as yr7/8 and then yr8/9. The Panthers got off to an early lead again in the Yr7/8, however, made a couple mistakes under pressure from Islamic College to finish the game 3-1 behind. The yr8/9 was worth waiting for, with a very impressive display from the Panthers (probably the best I have seen this year), finishing convincing winners 9-1. I would like to thank the student officials that helped out today, the parents that came to watch (from outside the fence) and all the students involved for their efforts and fair play. That wraps up a long year, thank you to all the parents for your support and to the teachers for their time and effort. It is now time to get some rest and come back ready to improve further next year. Go Panthers!
