25.01.2022 This weekend we bid a sad & very grateful au revoir to the wonderful Etienne and his partner Camille. They will be returning home to France and we are so sad to see them go. Etienne has been a rock solid member of our team bringing his passion and knowledge and energy every day he was with us. His last shift is this Saturday from 3pm til close at 9.30pm. Sourced from sandy, alluvial vineyards planted in 1944 on the Barossa Valley floor, these are small yield wines, masterfully crafted by Cams wife Julie Ashmead in cool, open top fermenters and then aged for 18 months in old French oak puncheons (500 litre casks). .... . Made only in the best years, the Ashmead Cabernet shows brilliant varietal character of ripe blackcurrants, dark chocolate, mocha and a hint of mint and the Command Shiraz rich and ripe black and red fruits, baked plums and sweet spice. . .
