22.01.2022 Dear Friends of Paddy The Tree Fella we are suspending our operation for an itial 2 week period in support of all the efforts being undertaken by so many others in combating Covid 19. We respect those in the health sector who are on the front line and exposed to this daily. We do not want to increase their already huge work loads! 22.01.2022 This tree was featured in the Ballarat courier a few months ago after half of it failed and crashed across the Melbourne bound train lines. The temptation is to 'just get rid of it' but being such a significant tree we thought the extra yards were needed to examine how 'risky' the tree was. I would like to acknowledge A. S. James who supported us to go through the many steps involved in the Tree assessment including a full aerial inspection and access to internal radar expert and Arborist Robert Knott. The Tree had great vigour and looked fantastic outwardly but the inside . Sadly we had to remove the tree. Here is a few shots of the process.

20.01.2022 Well, this happened late this arvo! Remember to have a good look at your trees after a heavy storm/wind event like we're getting now. This one failed at ground level from poor structure and a fungal infestation. Half the tree left standing but teetering so we've had to rig and stabilise it to prevent damaging sheds underneath, ready to sort out tomorrow cheers Paddy and crew
