22.01.2022 Hello everyone, my apologies for being absent the last day, I had some personal issues to deal with. I'm back on board now and catching up with messages and rescheduling appointments. Thanks for your patience.

20.01.2022 Hi all, In light of current circumstances I will not be taking face to face appointments at this time. I'm free to discuss any matters over the phone, via email or if needed we can set up a zoom meeting. I'm also happy to discuss your options and see if you are eligible for any of the government's stimulus package. See attached Fact Sheet for small business.... https://treasury.gov.au//Fact_sheet-Cash_flow_assistance_f Stay safe.

18.01.2022 Personal superannuation contributions - it's not too late to make a tax deductible super contribution to your super fund. Remember that you do need to notify your super fund of your intent when doing so. Most super funds have a form to complete or you can use the ATO's generic form. Link is here: https://www.ato.gov.au//downl/n71121-11-2014_js33406_w.pdf

18.01.2022 Winners are ............ Samantha Eenhuizen and Sarah Bateman Logie.... Please message the page. Thanks everyone for supporting a small local business.

11.01.2022 STIMULUS PACKAGE Further to my previous post, this one is for individuals that are receiving income support payments from the Government. The Government are offering additional payments, they vary depending on the type of income support payments received. This is a brief summary of what applies:... From 27th April the Government will provide a Coronavirus Supplement of $550 per fortnight to eligible individuals receiving certain income support payments. There will also be two separate $750 tax free payments to certain social security, veteran and other income support recipients. New supplement will be paid to individuals receiving: Jobseeker payments Youth allowance Parenting payments (single or partnered). In addition there will be new support category payments available, Jobseeker Payments and Youth Allowance Jobseeker for anyone impacted by the Coronavirus that may have lost their employment. Asset testing will be waived and wait times reduced. Once again, stay safe everyone.

07.01.2022 Winners of competition will be announced by the end of day. Thanks for your support.

07.01.2022 Every year I give away a couple of free individual tax returns on our local PIF page. The page has just been shut down due to COVID19. I would still love to do this, so will be choosing 2 people who like my page, like and share this post. Good luck. Will keep open until 30 June.

03.01.2022 Another change the ATO have implemented is early access to superannuation benefits. There are minimum requirements that must be met. Please see the link: https://www.ato.gov.au//withd/early-access-to-your-super/ Any questions please ask and I will try and help.

02.01.2022 Just some information now that STP payroll processing is in place for everyone from this year. In order to process and lodge tax returns, your income needs to be showing as tax ready or finalised. When they are showing as not tax ready or unfinalised, I can not complete your tax return. Business' have until the 14th July to complete this process. The ATO have started processing tax returns from the 5th July with refunds to start flowing through from the 16th July. Advice ...from the ATO has been returns will be processed within 12 business days. Thanks everyone and as always stay safe.

02.01.2022 Employees working from home due to COVID19. You can claim 3 different ways. A shortcut method of a flat 80 cents per hour. This includes everything you can claim. The second method is a flat 52 cents per hour to cover heating, cooling and lighting ect. Claim your work based % on mobile phone and internet. Claim $% of depreciation on computers, laptops etc. You still must have have spent the money, the expense must be directly related to earning income and you must have records to prove this. Link to ATO website with more information. https://www.ato.gov.au//suppo/employees-working-from-home/
