Up to 1 in 10 women and 1 in 20 men struggle with antenatal depression. With 1-2 in every 1000 women experiencing Postnatal Psychosis. Growing a family comes with many steep learning curves - mental health challenges make this journey so much harder. When these women, men & babies are left unsupported this has far reaching effects for their lives, our communities, and our futures. Pregnancy, Birth and Postpartum are where life begins. Together, with awareness and support, let’s begin it well. PANDA - Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia - provides a vital service across Australia by offering specialist, national, perinatal mental health telephone counselling services. PANDA also works to help reduce the stigma around perinatal anxiety and depression, by raising awareness and providing education services to health professionals and the wider community. 21.01.2022 It is always an honour to be able to encapsulate for our friends! This week I had the privilege of looking after the placenta of a really good friend of mine She gave birth to her beautiful second daughter on Monday and was able to start her capsules today! She chose to have a little mix of flavours with half strawberry and half grape flavoured capsules ... And what an incredible yield of capsules! 294 were created from her beautiful healthy placenta. Congratulations again Anita and I hope your postpartum recovery will go smoothly with the help of your magical capsules

19.01.2022 This is what I love about my job, each placenta is so unique and it is always exciting to see what the next one will look like when we start processing it. Each placenta has its own energy and I must say this one had one of the most beautiful and strongest energies I have ever come across. After speaking with mum she told us that she had a minor amniotic band during her pregnancy which could be the reason for this extra bit of membrane on her placenta. It’s been a while sinc...e we’ve come across a quirk like this and we feel really lucky to have been able to experience it Also can you see the shape of an Ankh ? The ankh is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol that was most commonly used in writing and in Egyptian art to represent the word for "life" and, by extension, as a symbol of life itself.
