25.01.2022 Yesterday was an overwhelming day with lots of tears unfamiliar environments and new people. I felt the pressure of staring as paige was in her wheelchair, getting asked questions that felt like to much and all i wanted to have the old life back where everything was easy and normal. These fears are all part of growing and life as a special needs family. We will never let paiges chair define her or her disability as each day she trys her hardest to get her life back and fit in. I hope everyone sees past this. We will always protect you and be by your side beautiful girl. #anewarrior #wegothis #growth

17.01.2022 Jammed packed day of napa 2021 registrations , visits to napa for OT and Speech therapy and Paige smashed it with Miss Laura and Hannah . The start of the week we had suspicions during physio that Paige was having a seizure which isnt uncommon with her extensive brain damage . Today a conference call with Paiges neurologist he reassured us that he doesnt think it could be but to keep an eye on her . Dr Pillai always is a wealth of knowledge and has always been positive about the progress she is making . Super exciting he told us today that Paige is in a study with lots of other ANE kids to help others get the right treatments . So proud of Paige adjusting to all the mask being worn and taking it all in her stride, for the new normal. #anewarrior #napa

17.01.2022 Its been a big month for Paige, we have been weaning some medications . The process has been up and down and she could potentially be having withdrawals after being on them for nearly 2 years. But we are hopeful the brain fog is clearing and this little girl is more aware with her body and speech. Day by day they say . Happy wkn everyone, thanks always for your love and support Paige loves all the encouragement and love she gets everyday.

05.01.2022 Speech is such a big part of paiges recovery. She trys alot of words and short sentences, but some words are tricky to verbalise and her dystonia interferes with this also. Giving paige the option of a communication device was hard for us to get our head around . But hoping she improves her speech with the help of a talker . The frustration of paige understanding so much but carnt verbalise is tricky. She did amazing today . #communicationisthekey #anewarrior #speech

03.01.2022 Paigey skipped theraphys on Tuesday for a day at inverell . The park was amazing and to see her enjoying herself and being included was the best feeling . She loves spending time with her big cousins . If only i could clone charlie . He helped me with equipment, carried paige everywhere and took her shopping and we couldnt find them .
