23.01.2022 This weekend was the second "Birds in Pastel" workshop held in recent weeks. Studying form, feathers, reflective colours, and various textures featuring our own Australian birds really reminded us what splendid birds we have right here in this great country. I think the smiles on faces demonstrate what wonderful weekends these were, great results ladies! Unfortunately Linda & Julie missed the photos but they also both created beaut results!

22.01.2022 This weekends canvas ;)

22.01.2022 Tomorrow morning I’ll be continuing the early stages of a lovely Collie dog in pastel. There’s some room at the table if anyone wants to join me by bringing along their own project or you’re welcome to quietly watch over my shoulder. 9:00 - 12:00. Please pm me just so I know how much table to clear

20.01.2022 Progress pic, Curlew in pastel

20.01.2022 My reminder keepsake of a year of uncertainty and turmoil, a year like no other. Let’s all welcome 2021

19.01.2022 A lot achieved today...what a weapon, this fellas beak is an almighty survival tool! Definitely an intriguing study, close to finished; will view tomorrow with fresh eyes. Pastel on WHITE paper.

18.01.2022 If you feel like joining me in the artroom tomorrow, there’s 5 spare chairs...bring along your own project or peek over my shoulder. I’m starting a pastel at 8:30, a kookaburra on white paper...yes you read right WHITE paper, I must be mad! Pm me if interested:)

18.01.2022 I added the final brush strokes on last night, 2 windows now completed in a room that desperately needed a window I’m in the artroom tomorrow morning painting if anyone wants to come along & chill out with their own project. Just message me so I clear enough room. And finally a Happy New Year to all that have followed my page, come along to W/shops & offered kind words of encouragement throughout the year. Cheers to good health, happiness & much contentment painting and creating in 2021

16.01.2022 Here’s a 1 day pastel workshop for this coming Sunday, come along and enjoy my relaxing aircon’d studio while learning pastel bird drawing techniques, suitable for those new to pastels.

16.01.2022 I’m yet to find someone that doesn’t LOVE pastels after an introduction class. Another awesome effort today ladies, unfortunately Bronwyn missed out on photo time due to the long drive back to Bundy

14.01.2022 Mr Frog is finished and even feels slimmy with 2 coats of clear gloss over him. It was great painting a fun subject as this on my own turf, next project (started) is my concrete water tank, I’ve struggled to fix a minor leak so it may have to have a waterfall or leaking tap incorporated into the design!

14.01.2022 Nellie my latest pastel commission went home today, another happy customer

10.01.2022 Yesterday & today saw the second 3D Perspective Workshop transpire these holidays and what exciting results we’ve seen & captured on the good’ol mobile phone. Learning many techniques using tone, placement, pencil pressure, shadows and vanishing points we created various visual 3D tricks. This 3D class is definitely one of my favourites! Do checkout the videos in the comments

07.01.2022 Completed Bush Stone-Curlew in pastel. Of all the different types of Curlews birds, how lucky are we to have the one with the most comical character here within our region!

01.01.2022 If you look really hard you may just see a frog! First coat of paint on, the second coat will have more vibrant reflective colours & finer detail making him pop a little more. Good to paint for myself at last

01.01.2022 I’m planning a morning in the studio tomorrow, if there’s any friends that would like to bring out their own project and join me...you’re welcome, just message me so I know who’s coming ;)
