23.01.2022 I'm currently painting this piece for a customer in KC of a monument that is near and dear to many in the USA. The Buffalo Soldier stands proudly at Ft Leavenworth, KS. I've painted many subjects around Ft Leavenworth but I avoided the Buffalo Soldier until the customer asked me to give it a go. As an Australian, I hope I haven't disrespected the painting in any shape or form as it's taken me ages to finish!! I also wanted to keep the respect between the soldier and the horse whilst showing a radiance to the theme. What do you think? The customer is also happy for me to have the painting in prints.

23.01.2022 I painted the Angels Trumpet around Mothers Day this year. They're a beautiful flower and one I've always admired. Today I'm thinking of a beautiful friend who exuded the meaning of this flower, vivacity and vibrancy. 15.01.2022 Three years ago we literally stumbled across the biggest motor cycle rally in the world, STURGIS. I wanted to show my mum and dad the beauty of the Blackhill Mountains in Sth Dakota but I had no idea I was sharing it with three hundred thousand bikers that week! And I'm glad we did!! 11.01.2022 It's been a while since I last posted as we try to adapt to major changes in the past month or so. The dog is getting more than his fair share of walks, the sun is still shining and I'm in my happy place painting! I found some old photos in my cupboard of one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in Victoria, "The Grampians". I truly love this place and I promised Nathan and the kids to take them once this virus is gone for good. So much to do and see and no doubt, the tourist industry will need it too. All painted on canvas using acrylics, black texta and pen. Has anyone else been here?

10.01.2022 Ballarat Arch of Victory, a monument in country Victoria was built to commemorate the soldiers of WW1 and the wars afterwards. It is the entrance to the avenue of honour, a 22km highway where nearly 4,000 trees were planted for those who lost their lives from this region. I painted this during our overseas military posting three years ago at Ft Leavenworth, KS in the week leading up to Anzac Day. I think it's a beautiful monument that captures the true essence of a proud city that is Ballarat. 05.01.2022 Many folks know I have a thing for tornadoes. It's a freak of nature that seldom happens here in Australia so I was totally mesmerised by tornado season in Kansas, middle America. As destructive and devastating they are to communities, there is also a natural beauty they showcase. Like the colour of the clouds, and the isolated prairies and fields they envelope. And the one thing I always noticed was the drive home on the I70 through Missouri or Kansas when the sun was setting.
