24.01.2022 We would like to Introduce Crystal Hollow. Crystal will be joining our 2021 Teaching Team. Hi, name is Crystal Hollow and I am really excited to be joining the Pakenham Primary School community for 2021. I have been working at a different local school for the past 7 years, and for the last two I have been running the Year 1 Levelled Literacy Program. I have just completed my Masters in Teaching, so while I may be new to classroom teaching, I am not new to the school environme...nt. I have a passion for teaching Literacy and Numeracy; but my main passion is ensuring that every student is given an opportunity to learn to the best of their ability. I absolutely love learning, even now at my age, and I want to encourage the same love for learning in all students. I believe that the best way to learn is through fostering strong relationships within the school community, which will promote the engagement of students. Student engagement is vital in all successful learning environments, especially the challenging activities! I feel very privileged to be given the opportunity to work within the Pakenham Primary School community next year, and I cannot wait! See more

22.01.2022 Dear families, Our Book Fair is arriving on Thursday 19th November and will be open from Friday 20th November until Wednesday 25th November. Unfortunately, due to COVID we have to make some changes to how we run Book Fair this year. We are excited to still be able to provide this opportunity for your children to purchase a range of wonderful books. Your child/ren will be bringing home a catalogue shortly with some of the books available and once the Book Fair arrives picture...s of available products will be uploaded to Facebook/ Compass so that you get a chance to still browse the products. There are 2 ways you can purchase from our Book Fair this year: 1. You can send money with your child/ren, along with their completed wish list (this will be going home Friday 20th November) and they will be able to purchase books either before school or during lunch time OR 2. You can email the school with your order and we will contact you to organise a time to click and collect your order with payment made by EFTPOS only upon collection. Happy Reading, Mrs Wolfe

21.01.2022 This week we have been commemorating NAIDOC Week. This normally occurs much earlier in the year, but like most of 2020, things didn’t go to plan! NAIDOC Week is designed to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Students have shared some local Indigenous stories, including the story of William Barak, and completed some mindfulness colouring and an Indigenous meditation by Uncle Jack Charles. Some students have also h...elped with the creation of a poster of the letter ‘E’. This will be used in a display for the Cardinia Network Schools featuring the words ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’, which is the theme for NAIDOC Week this week. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are Australia’s First Peoples and the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which we live and work. We pay our respects to all elders past, present and emerging. See more

12.01.2022 We would like to Introduce Bo Crabtree. Bo will be joining our 2021 Teaching Team. Hi there! My name is Bo Crabtree and I am so excited to be a part of the team at Pakenham Primary School in 2021. I've just returned to Melbourne after a few months of casual relief teaching in East Gippsland following the completion of my teaching degree in June. Something that I have loved about teaching so far has been forming strong relationships with students and learning about all the di...fferent backgrounds from which they come. I am passionate about making learning tasks engaging and hands-on. Next year, I can't wait to not only help students challenge themselves and tackle new experiences at school, but also participate in learning myself and further develop my skills as an educator. Please make sure you introduce yourself when you see me around in 2021! See more
