24.01.2022 The Australian Government has today announced the closure of all non-essential services in a bid to halt the further spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus). From 12.00pm noon on Monday 23 March, Cardinia Leisure Facilities will be closed to the public until further notice, which includes the Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre. 15.01.2022 Fantastic initiative by the Victorian Government with the Get Active Kids Vouchers looking to be launched in early 2021. The $21 million Get Active Kids Voucher Program is a Victorian first and will support children to get involved in organised activities by providing $200 vouchers to help families with the cost of sports equipment, uniforms or memberships. The Get Active Kids Voucher Program is scheduled to commence in early 2021. As we have more information provided we will keep our members and players informed as to how you can apply and the eligibility criteria.

15.01.2022 All Australian Ranking Tournaments are currently postponed to help contain the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). No Australian Ranking Tournaments will be held prior to 12 October 2020 as they require all states and territories to be able to host events as well as unrestricted travel and the majority of domestic borders to be open. 13.01.2022 Tennis is back! Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre’s (PRTC) Book-A-Court system has been given the green light to resume! We’ve missed seeing you here and are excited to share that following Sunday’s (18 October 2020) announcement by Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews to ease current restrictions across our state, the Book-A-Court system will resume from 9am on Thursday 22 October 2020 for casual bookings. While these current changes won’t permit our other tennis programs to resume just yet, it’s a positive step in the right direction and moves us closer towards their eventual return also. Your health and safety remains our number one priority, with our team working behind the scenes on a number of extra measures to protect you upon your return including increased cleaning schedules, new hygiene stations and additional signage.

If you want to get involved, all you need is a tennis ball and some creative ideas. Simply film yourself receiving a tennis ball and showing off some racquet skills, then hit the ball nice and high into the air for the next person to receive! 07.01.2022 Hi PRTC members and casual hitters, As I am sure you are all aware, starting today all Victorians in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire (including the Cardinia Shire) are required to wear a mask when outside their homes. All players/visitors to the Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre (incl. children 12+ years old) are required to wear a face mask of similar covering when in or around the PRTC facility.... Players will be able to remove their mask during play, but must put them back on once play has concluded. Any bystanders, parents etc who are not engaged in play must wear a mask at all times, unless otherwise excluded (see link below, e.g. those with a relevant medical condition). In response to the Victorian Governments announcement made on Tuesday 7 July 2020, Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre will be temporarily closed to the public from 9pm on Wednesday 8 July, in line with State Government direction, this closure is for a period of 6 weeks, however is subject to change While there are no known visits by a COVID-19 carrier to this facility, this action has been taken to support the Governments ...effort to protect the health and safety of our State and Country in the wake of this latest wave of cases While we were in the very early process to make contact regarding lessons recommencing in term 3, these plans have currently been placed on hold, while we continue to wait for further government advice. As a result of these restrictions Book-A-Court will remain available however will be restricted to two participants per court. Our re-enforced restrictions comes as a timely reminder that we must remain vigilant and continue to observe the advice of the Government to protect our community and ease the pressure on our vital health care system.
