08.01.2022 The photo i posted yesterday was not a fake, sand builds up in the creek mouths inbetween cyclones and new mouths form when cyclonic rain forces it way through ...the build up of sand , remember the early coaches drove down the beaches and crossed the creeks at the silted in creek mouths, This photo taken from near the old currumbin hotel site and shows Granny Birch Island, she had a small dairy farm on the island and at least one indigenous family also lived there, it was completly washed away in the 1930s flood . it sat roughly were the osprey nest pole is now. there will be more photos to come See more
