25.01.2022 Grey nurse sharks, wobbegong sharks, bull rays and all the other usual suspects along with 21 degrees water. Palm Beach Reef had it all today, all topped with a fun group of divers.

23.01.2022 The Leopard Sharks finally made it to Palm Beach . We had 2 great dives yesterday at Palmy and the Scottish Prince Wreck. AND the visibility has been getting better every day.

22.01.2022 Had two wonderful dives off the Gold Coast, Australia, yesterday with Gold Coast Dive Adventures, diving Palm Beach Reef and the Scottish Prince shipwreck. I de...cided to go with macro and was rewarded with a feast of subjects, including a moray eel species I have never seen before - the brown-spotted moray. These are a few of the images from Palm Beach Reef. See more

17.01.2022 Here’s a little video of today’s dives. This was the maiden voyage with my new GoPro hero8, and I love it! I definitely need to fine tune some things, like my video light angle to avoid backscatter, but all in all, I’m stoked! GoPro really has come a long way.

16.01.2022 Tranquility underwater, Palm Beach Reef

12.01.2022 We had a jam packed afternoon at Palm Beach Reef. More leopard sharks than you can poke a camera at, guitar sharks, reef fish galore, schooling barracuda and friendly turtles were the highlights.

10.01.2022 We dived Clown City and the Gutters which we also call Leopard Point during the summer months. The visibility at the Gutters was surprisingly good. Heaps of life and a great group of divers.

08.01.2022 Dive trip 1 of today at Palm Beach and the Scottish Prince wreck. Afternoon trip underway now and it is still looking incredible .

05.01.2022 AWESOME day diving at Palm Beach Reef with the unreal team at Gold Coast Dive Adventures today! My fintastic buddy, Nikky, and I had 3m vis on the eastern side ...of the reef which opened up to a beautiful 10m vis (and more in patches) on the western side. It was NUDI CENTRAL down there, with 3 new-to-me nudis (ID’s in pic captions). The coral was seemingly alive, presenting so much colour and looked so healthy. Captain Mark suggested they may be getting ready to spawn which could be right! Does anyone know what temperature our temperate/tropical mix of corals spawn in SE QLD? I’m flying on cloud 9 this evening, feeling the dive bliss. What a day! What a life! (Tom (matthias’ brother) is also now an open water diver! Congrats!!)

04.01.2022 Palm Beach Reef in all it’s glory

01.01.2022 A quick preview of my morning dive at Palm Beach Reef today with my brand new weefine video light. These pics straight off the camera, no editing or colour corr...ecting! So stoked! Lots of learning to do, but I’m happy with my first go Off for a night dive this evening, plenty more pics to post but I’m out of time!

01.01.2022 CLOSEUP ON THE GOLD COAST By Nigel Marsh - www.nigelmarshphotography.com The reefs and shipwrecks off Queensland’s Gold Coast are home to a great variety of lar...ge marine creatures. Turtles, wobbegongs, gropers, stingrays and pelagic fish are just some of the animals seen when exploring these wonderful sites, and the reason that I dive these sites with a wide-angle lens on my camera. However, on a recent dive trip I opted for the macro lens for a bit of change, and I was very impressed with the closeup on the Gold Coast.read the full story in the August issue of Dive Log published on Thursday 25th July See more
