13.02.2022 Last month I took some time off due to having Bronchial Pneumonia. It turns out the damn thing likes me more than I like it, and it has returned with great vengeance. I have made the difficult decision to close the doors until January as I really need to get myself better and on top of this. Next year I would like to return fully refreshed and in tip top health and form and give you the best massage of your life. Thank you all for being there, for being understanding and for your support. I treasure you all. Have a great Christmas full of love, joy and good health.
10.02.2022 Merry Christmas to one and all. Have a cracker day. Thank you for all you support throughout the year. I truly wish you all the very best for the new year and a better less crazy time in 2022 filled with love, light and peace

29.01.2022 Yes, I do see a range of people presenting with Dowagers Hump from work situations and lifestyles in general. Posture is so important to keep us mobile and moving freely without discomfort or pain. Try a one or a few of these exercises to help improve posture.

23.01.2022 What's your favourite thing to do on weekends?
22.01.2022 I get sick of just plain old water and by adding a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar to my water bottle it isn't boring old water anymore and it is doing something positive for my body. With summer only a few days away, it is important to stay hydrated.
22.01.2022 So relax. Have faith in your abilities and trust yourself to get the job done.
21.01.2022 Be the best version of yourself everyday.

20.01.2022 Something I have wanted to do for some time and it just keeps getting pushed aside, is promote other businesses that I have witnessed doing an exceptional job. Today I would like to give a big shout out to Les an Paula Rudd that own Rudd's Horse Transport. A few weeks ago as I waited to pull out onto the highway, I waited for a Rudd's Horse Transport truck to go past then pulled out. As I followed them, travelling down the highway I noticed that the truck would start to slow ...down slightly well before the corner and would ease into it and then gradually pick up speed when the road straightened out. This touched my heart as I knew that the driver really cared about the animals he was entrusted with. When I use to tow a float I would panic around corners, worried that they might slip over or loose balance. I have personally used these guys to transport horses from Brisbane to Lowmead and I was so impressed with their professionalism and care for the animals I would've highly recommend them anyway, but to witness it on the road just solidified what I had experienced as a customer. Congratulations to Les and Paula for creating such a wonderful, caring business and ensuring the team they employ have the same values as they do. See more

18.01.2022 Have you ever had an issue with your phone? Of course you have. Have you turned it off and back on again and the issue is not there anymore? Of course you have. We are no different. When the issues in life get too many or too big, we too, can get overwhelmed and confused. Try switching yourself off. Unplug from all the input, take a walk, lay on the grass and watch the clouds rolling by, hide in your car and breathe slow and deep. Taking a moment for yourself to switch off may not make all the issues go away, but it may just give you the time to take to refresh or see a new perspective. It gives the brain time to do the filing, defrag or reset. The merry-go-round will still keep going round in circles, but you can take a break from the ride, and get off from time to time and rebalance.
16.01.2022 If this year has taught us anything, it is to be grateful for all we have.
15.01.2022 How to Keep Your Brain Healthy As we age, our brains may struggle to fire on all cylinders and keep up with us. Some of the most familiar examples of this are frequent forgetfulness, delayed cognitive reactions, and increased confusion. Often, we might chalk up simple memory slips to ‘getting older’ accepting a decline in brain function as an inevitable and unavoidable consequence of time, rather than a matter of health. But luckily for us, there are a few key tips to dodg...ing the decline and keeping a healthy and active brain, and they’re pretty easy! Exercising your brain regularly It’s very tempting to slump in front of your television or computer with some favourite snacks after a long day. But, switching on can lead to your brain switching off due to a lack of proper stimulation. Our brain is a muscle and it needs exercise! Solving puzzles, reading books, cooking something from a recipe these are all super simple ways to stimulate your brain and keep it active to keep it healthy. Exercising your brain helps it to grow new cells and improve and develop new neural connections that may have been lost to physical trauma, inactivity, substance abuse, or a stroke. Exercising your body You guessed it! Regular exercise is great for many things, and keeping a healthy brain is one of the top benefits. Regular daily exercise helps improve cardiovascular circulation and stimulate the brain to grow new neurons. It also helps to decrease the risk of stroke and Alzheimer’s disease both of which can have devastating and permanent effects on the brain. Try to work in 20-30 minutes of daily aerobic exercise to keep your body and mind moving! Get proper rest While we’re sleeping, our brains are working away at sorting, processing, and retaining the day’s events. This hugely important process impacts key functions such as memory retention, cognitive function, and regulating our emotions. Make sure you get adequate sleep every night by sticking to a routine, or addressing the issues affecting your ability to get quality rest. Get social Humans are naturally social creatures, and many studies have indicated a link between keeping good quality social connections and keeping strong brain cells. Social interactions help enrich our life experience, learn from others, and maintain good mental health hygiene. Maintain a healthy diet It’s no surprise that keeping a healthy diet will help to keep a healthy brain. When it comes to brain health and your eating habits, balance is key. Your body and brain need a balanced combination of proteins, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other vital nutrients that all come from your food. By ensuring you’re maintaining a well-balanced and considered diet, you’re safeguarding your brain’s health and helping it to thrive over time instead of decline. See more

14.01.2022 Serotonin is the key hormone that stabilizes our mood, feelings of well-being, and happiness. This hormone impacts your entire body. It enables brain cells and other nervous system cells to communicate with each other. Serotonin also helps with sleeping, eating, and digestion. Common ways to increase serotonin levels are outdoor exercise, nutritious foods, good sleep and lowering stress levels. https://www.healthline.com/health/how-to-increase-serotonin
13.01.2022 Why You Need to Spend More Time with Yourself Human beings are naturally social creatures. We gravitate towards others and often seek comfort and companionship to enrich our lives and there’s nothing wrong with that! But, setting aside time to be alone with yourself is just as important for your mental health and balance as building and maintaining those social connections. Solitude has historically been tarred with a negative brush with it being used as punishment, seen ...as a sign of bad character, or leading to feelings of abandonment, but it’s not all doom and gloom! Being alone by choice Loneliness is a feeling no one enjoys and can often lead to negative health impacts. We generally feel lonely when we’re not alone by choice On the contrary, choosing to spend time doing things solo can have a big positive affect on your mental and physical health. Benefits of spending time with yourself It’s great for your imagination and creativity In a world full of noise and distractions, zoning in on your own ideas and sense of creativity can sometimes feel impossible. Eliminating those distractions frees up your mind to explore and unpack ideas on a deeper and more detailed level, analysing them without influence or external pressures. Our minds are capable of incredible things, and the imagination is where so many great ideas are born. By allowing ourselves the alone time needed to focus inward, we nurture and feed our imaginations and creative freedoms. It can be great for relationships Relationships are often viewed as the coming together of two people into one union, but it doesn’t mean you should never be apart! Allowing yourself and your partner to spend time doing things alone feeds your sense of identity and highlights how special your connections really are. It promotes self-reflection Taking time for some self-reflection is one of today’s most neglected activities because it needs to be done alone. Reflecting on your behaviour, ideas, decisions, challenging situations, and anything concerning the self can be incredibly therapeutic and cleansing, and often provides clarity to the mind. Great activities to do on your own Go for a long walk in nature Surrounding yourself with nature, away from technology and life distractions is a refreshing solo activity. Breathing fresh air and practicing mindfulness in your surroundings is great for your mental and physical health. Try a new restaurant Taking a leap and doing something new can also involve some seriously tasty food. Dining by yourself allows you to focus on your meal the flavours, textures, and atmosphere of the restaurant. And no, you won’t look weird! Go to the movies Is there a movie coming out no one’s really interested in seeing? Perfect! Take yourself out to the cinema, grab some snacks, kick back and enjoy a film on your own. If you can do it alone from your couch, what’s stopping you from doing it at the big screen?

11.01.2022 YAY It's finally summer. With the heat wave that is coming through over the next weeks, it is important to remember to stay hydrated. If water gets boring, add a squeeze of your favourite fruit into it or if you feel like you need that fizz, grab some mineral water.
10.01.2022 Tips for staying healthy and enjoying the warmer weather. With the weather starting to heat up, the loss of body fluid is inevitable. As we exercise, or up here, just go about our daily chores, we sweat and lose these important fluids. During the summer months, it is so important to stay hydrated and replace the electrolytes that are lost during the day, thus avoiding muscles cramps, fatigue, muscle soreness and even brain fog. A great and tasty way to replace these lost minerals is eating bananas, which are high in potassium, infusing or putting a squeeze of your favourite fruit into your water, coconut water or sports drinks such as staminade. Avoid energy drinks and drinks high in sugar as this can cause imbalances in the body and increase the possibility of oxidative stress.
