25.01.2022 I was thrilled to be elected as a Fellow of the Royal Art Society of NSW at the Opening of the Christmas Exhibition last Friday night. What an honour to be recognized within this prestigious art society. Thank you RAS.

25.01.2022 LANE COVE ART AWARD 2019 I am thrilled to be awarded the Lane Cove Council Art Prize....the major award at the Council's annual exhibition. My mixed media painting 'The Old Convento' was painted after our Art Tour to Portugal. it is built up from layers of collage consisting of papers, insitu drawings, maps and brochures, fabrics and threads. Colours were then applied and the painting was finished with ink linework.... The two exhibition judges obviously liked it, saying: "Beautifully executed mixed collage. Brilliant interplay of abstraction and impressionism to produce a modern masterpiece". Thank you Lane Cove Council for your generous prize. And thanks to Lane Cove Art Society who run the exhibition. Exhibition is at Gallery Lane Cove, 164 Longueville Rd, Lane Cove. Exhibition runs till 14 September.

10.01.2022 Lock down painting! I've really enjoyed just taking my easel, paints and collage bits (torn watercolour and drawing pieces, fabrics, wallpaper and other recycled papers, string, gold threads and laces) into our front garden while the weather has been kind. My mixed media works have interested passing dogwalkers, families and neighbours. Even made friends with a young magpie who modelled for me!
