21.01.2022 Good morning parkrunners! We have an update on our course - it is almost COMPLETELY underwater the whole way, alternate course included. Stay tuned to this page later in the week to see if we will go ahead on Saturday. ... Stay safe! Panania parkrun Team PS - Thanks Kathy & Clare for pics

20.01.2022 We are very sad to announce that we will need to cancel our parkrun event this weekend 15/2/20. Following the massive rain event and severe flooding of Panania parkrun last week we have been monitoring the site daily. While much of the flooding has gone our start/finish area is still very wet, boggy and unsafe to use. There are also two hazards on the course which are able to be negotiated but could prove hazardous. As much as we love our weekly event we would hate for anyone to be injured. We also hope to give the area a chance to dry out suitably so it may be ready for 22/2/20 Please share this information with all of your parkrun friends and family so they may be able to make arrangements to do a tourist run on another course. We thank you all for your understanding.

19.01.2022 Some people have been recreating some terrific parkrun activities, all socially distanced of course. Huge thanks to the creative crew at Highlands parkrun for your incredible celebration of parkrun and kind permission to share. Everything is awesome

18.01.2022 EVENT CANCELLED Saturday 8 February We are very sorry to announce that todays event has been cancelled due to flooding. The usual start/finish is underwater, there are multiple deep puddles along the alternate course & with consistent rain now its not going to get any better. ... The safety of our parkrunners is the number one priority in making this decision. Once again, apologies & well see you next week! Stay safe! Panania parkrun Event Team

01.01.2022 1 Feb 2020 - the start

01.01.2022 Attention Panania parkrunners - Saturday 8 February 2020 There is a very high chance we may have to cancel our event tomorrow due to flooding. We do have an alternate course, but with the way this rain is coming down & with the park almost completely under water now, the alternate course may also be too dangerous to run due to some increasingly deep puddles, including at the start/finish area.... We will do our very best to bring you an event tomorrow, but if safety of volunteers & participants is at stake it will not be on. Please check this page from 6:30am when the final call will be made. Chipping Norton is also on flood watch, so maybe check the Facebook pages of other close by events out for a bit of tourism tomorrow if needed. Please help spread the word by passing this on. Thanks for your understanding! Panania parkrun Team
