25.01.2022 Thank you to Anglea for doing a live today for the guild - we all loved watching it Here is a link to the live and the patterns Anglea was talking about https://www.sewbright.com.au//Sew-Kind-of-Wonderful-Patter

25.01.2022 Another exhibition you can tour ‘virtually’! This tour is narrated by the curator of the exhibit and features some lovely, colourful quilts, and shares some insights into Russian folk traditions.

24.01.2022 COVID or no COVID, here is a lovely exhibit that most of us wouldn't be able to see. Thank you so much Brooklyn Quilters Guild for sharing this so we can enjoy it from afar.

22.01.2022 Still working on the BOM? Here are some lovely Block 7s and a Block 6 from our members. If you're a bit behind (like me), don't worry, that's what lockdown is for, isn't it?

21.01.2022 More challenge blocks finished and looking lovely, including Sally's finished quilt that we posted earlier. Are you working on the SAC Challenge? We'd love you to show us your "It Takes a Village" blocks here. Unlike the BOM pattern which is released monthly (patience, Grasshopper!), we already know all the colours for the SAC Challenge, allowing you to consider and make each one in the context of your overall design ideas. Each month's theme is simply a colour: February is Yellow; March is Purple; April is Red; May is Blue; June is White; July is Pink; August is Orange, September is Green; October is Turquoise.

19.01.2022 PIECES OF EIGHT CHALLENGE 2021 Have you considered a challenge for 2021? Details are in the November Newsletter.

19.01.2022 Is there anyone out there that would be able to finish stitching the last round on this hexagon quilt. I will then appliqué it to fabric to form corners and square if off, quilt it and donate it. Or, I have enough of the fabrics to fill in the corners with hexagons if you like. Please let me know if you can do this. Thank-you, Sharon Siácci. Someone has been found. Thanks all for looking.

19.01.2022 Another wonderful Sew, Art & Chat Challenge quilt finished by Sally. This is Sally's interpretation of the challenge prompt, "It takes a Village", in which each month's theme was simply a colour. What a delightful story you've created in this beautiful quilt, Sally.

15.01.2022 We'll be live for our monthly meeting in 15 minutes (11am). Show us in the comments below what you've been doing this week. We'll be live for our monthly meeting in 15 minutes (11am). Show us in the comments below what you've been doing this week.

12.01.2022 I T ' S S U N D A Y S H O W & T E L L T I M E ! We're all doing a happy dance here in Victoria - Lockdown is lifted and we can get out - hooray! Have you spent the week driving further than 5km (or 25km?!), going to a cafe, AND still having time for a bit of sewing? Show us how you've enjoyed the week, whether that be sewing or otherwise! Stay safe everyone!

12.01.2022 In light of the crazy year 2020 has turned out to be, it was interesting to revisit this exhibition from Quilt Market Houston at the end of last year. It's worth taking a look at their page A Better World Exhibition - there are some feature videos and photos with the story behind several of the quilts displayed. Enjoy the return of some freedom Victorians! Here's hoping we're able to see family and friends, visit quilt shops, and eventually even see a few exhibitions in the flesh! But stay COVID safe too.

03.01.2022 SAC of the future! Zoom weaving!

03.01.2022 We had our monthly 'meeting' yesterday with some lovely show and tell, so for today, we'd especially love to highlight the work of any Dads out there who quilt. That includes you furbaby Dads! We'd also love to see quilts you've made for the father figures in your life, or the Dads behind the quilters, the future fathers etc ... However you'd like to interpret the theme is fine by us, because there are many types of 'fathers'. Have a lovely day everyone, with an extra hug to anyone who can't be with their Dad, and for Dads who can't be with their families.
