Also our Menulog, UberEats, DoorDash apparently aren't working. 14.01.2022 From next Monday, 2nd March, we will be open for lunch and dinner on Mondays (including most public holiday Mondays!). For Monday lunch, goreng-goreng (fried rice/fried noodle dishes) and roti canai will NOT be available, but they will, however, be available for dinner.

This special offer - 4 pieces of ROTI CANAI (with curry gravy or sambar) for only $10 - is available from 9:30AM to 2:30PM and from 5:00PM to 9:00PM Tuesday to Sunday. 11.01.2022 We're still open. But still only for takeaway and delivery. We're not jumping straight back into the dine-in thing. We're taking a more cautious approach, to see how things go with the easing of restrictions across the state, before we join in. There will be a second wave of COVID-19 infections in Victoria, guaranteed. Just how quickly it hits and how big it is, nobody knows.... We are well aware that customers have been itching to get back to the dine-in culture they were so accustomed to, but that tradition has been bowled an absolute wrongun this year. We have seen the surprise and disappointment on the faces of customers coming into the restaurant this week, expecting us to be fully open, only to be told that we're not allowing dine-in just yet. They're well within their rights, on learning this, to decide to go to another restaurant that IS allowing dine-in. We do understand how they feel. All we ask is for a little understanding in return. If you come to us, wanting our kind of food, then please, at least consider getting takeaway, rather than just going somewhere else that wasn't your first choice. Like nearly all food businesses across the country, we've been doing it extremely tough the last few months. Without orders through UberEats, Menulog and Doordash - and our regular customers needing their 'fix' - we would've had to shut down completely. Sadly, a lot of businesses already have. If you can be patient for a week or so longer, you'll be able to dine in our restaurant again - subject to the current restrictions of 4 square metres per customer (which allows up to 7 diners at any one time in here) - and agreeing to leave your contact details for tracing purposes (as mandated by the State Government). In the meantime, please get takeaway from us! Or order delivery through Doordash or UberEats (Menulog depends on us having a driver available at the time and we don't always). See more

11.01.2022 Further update (6:55pm Wednesday) The landline is again not working and we're closing for the day. Technicians are meant to be coming tomorrow to fix things, so we'll see how things go then.

10.01.2022 We will be closed for the Monday public holiday this weekend (9th March), but we will be open (lunch and dinner) on Monday 16th March. Every other day (apart from this coming Monday) from today until the Easter long weekend, it will be business as usual, 7 days per week. Arrangements for Easter, we will let you know closer to that time.

06.01.2022 Important announcement. Due to the new social distancing rules just brought in yesterday by the Federal Government for indoor venues and, based on the size of our dining area, we have calculated that a maximum of only 7 people will be able to dine in our restaurant at one time. As you may have seen, during Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes we quite often manage to squeeze 30 patrons in, so it's going to take a lot of adjustment.... If you are planning to come here during one of our busiest times, you may have to wait a fair while. If you are a group of 4 or more, we would suggest you consider getting takeaway instead. We're looking into increasing the options available - obviously more takeaway, but also an increased delivery area, plus additional seating space. It all takes time to organise however, so please bear with us. In the meantime, if you do manage to get in, please follow the recommendations of hand-washing, keeping your distance, covering your coughs and sneezes with tissues or into your elbow or upper arm. Please be patient if you have to wait for seating and, once you are seated, please give a thought to the patrons still waiting. At the time of writing this, we have not been able to purchase any hand-sanitiser, as it's always sold out. If you have your own, bring it with you. If not, there's always plenty of soap and water in the washroom. Stay safe, healthy and sane in this troubling time. Look after each other. Namaste

04.01.2022 Hi all. We're closed for the rest of today (Tuesday 7th July). Tomorrow (Wednesday 8th July) will be your last opportunity for dine-in for the next 6 weeks. So, from this Thursday, only takeaways and deliveries will be available (with us, that means UberEats or DoorDash - we've cancelled Menulog for the time being due to their faulty equipment and us losing too much $ worth of business because of it).
