Kind regards Panorama Executive Committee

24.01.2022 Does this dog belong to anyone. It has been roaming around Eleanor Drive Vista all day and is acting very scared

23.01.2022 Notice about continued closure of facilities Dear Residents of Panorama Strata DP 270460 and subsidiary bodies, Please see attached letter in relation to the Panorama Clubhouse and Facilities for your attention. We advise clubhouse and facilities are still closed and will remain closed until further notice. Signs and banners advising about the closure due to COVID are on order and to be installed very soon.... The attachment explains the budget and organisational constraints concerning a possible, controlled re-opening of the facilities, and ongoing efforts to explore any options to comply with a mandatory COVIDsafe plan. We appreciate your co-operation, patience and understanding during these unprecedented times, thank you. Kind Regards, Panorama Executive Committee

20.01.2022 Updated 6 December 2018 - Dear Residents, Campbelltown City Council has eventually responded to the proposal for speed humps and additional signage around Panorama Estate, as recommended 5 September to the council by Whelan, following consultation with the Executive Committee and the community at large. Please find the response letter dated 28 November from Campbelltown City Council attached for your perusal.... The Panorama Executive Committee believes this to be a lukewarm response at its best and intends to continue to engage with the council, in order to get at least additional 50kmh speed signs installed along Atlantic Boulevard. Best regards Panorama EC Addendum 11 September 2018 - Dear Residents, thank you for all additional input received through various channels. Through Whelan as managing agent, the EC sent a letter (attached) to Campbelltown City Council. It is important to note the council is not bound to implement what in that letter, they may well put something different in place. Also in matters time frame, the council may want to consult with other parties affected such as Vista etc. Which means this question of humps, pedestrian crossings and missing stop and speed signs is no longer in the hands of the Panorama EC. Once (if) a response from the council is received, the EC will of course post that on this page. Best regards & thanks Panorama EC -- Dear Panorama Residents The EC has identified that following the extension of Atlantic Boulevard to the East, speeding has become an increasing issue within the Estate. While the speed limit throughout the Estate is 50kmh, and heavy vehicles are banned unless they have business within Panorama or Vista (see signage at Brampton Ave), since said extension that appears to be routinely disregarded, in particular by drivers of cars, motorcycles and even lorries who take a shortcut through Atlantic Boulevard, reaching speeds often well in excess of the limit. Critical spots are the intersection between Atlantic Blvd and Hadlow Ave, and the bend in Atlantic Blvd at the intersection with Glatton Road. The reasoning behind the proposal shown in the pictures is that most traffic in and out of Panorama (and Vista) still goes through Brampton Ave, while it seems that most of the speeding happens along the two straight stretches of Atlantic Blvd at either end of Panorama. Therefore the EC intends to approach Campbelltown City Council with the proposal shown, to put a speed hump at each the West and East end of the Estate. This means that the majority of residents can still travel through Brampton without crossing a speed hump, while speeding along Atlantic is discouraged. However please note the Council may implement something different than what the EC proposes, this due to other factors, like drainage of Atlantic Blvd after a heavy downpour etc, thus the residents are advised to consider this proposal as a non-binding consultation. 18.01.2022 Continued closure of Panorama facilities Dear Residents, Panorama Executive Committee has reviewed the most recent NSW Government Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order (No 3) available for download using the link below.... Panorama EC has also considered the information about Current Restrictions on that webpage, and the requirements concerning a COVID-19 Safety Plan for community centres and halls. No matter if the Clubhouse and surrounding perimeter are classified as community hall or other, we would be obliged to implement a COVID-19 safety plan. This would entail having a volunteer onsite at all time during opening hours, who monitors the 4 square meters rule and limits attendance as detailed in the Order. This would also extend to the areas around the BBQ and the tennis court. Aside from daily cleaning, detailed identification of persons attending and record keeping is also required, the COVID-19 safety plan template says: Keep a record of name and a mobile number or email address for all staff, volunteers, visitors and contractors for a period of at least 28 days. Ensure records are used only for the purposes of tracing COVID-19 infections and are stored confidentially and securely. Panorama EC deliberated and decided to keep the Panorama community facilities closed at this stage, until the restrictions are relaxed further by the NSW Government. This is regrettable but we have no means to comply with the requirements above in all minute details. Please note community halls and meeting rooms of Campbelltown City Council are still closed, no bookings for those are accepted at the time of this writing. In the meantime, works related to repairs and upkeep of Panorama community facilities are to continue, you can therefore expect to see maintenance personnel onsite frequently over the next weeks. 16.01.2022 Dear Residents You may have found in your letterbox what appears to be an advertising letter for the Australian arm of worldwide social network Nextdoor. On their website, Nextdoor require your personal details to give you access and appear to promise targeted advertising about your neighbourhood in return.... Please note the Panorama Executive Committee has no relationship with the operator of that website and does not endorse it, or make any recommendations for or against it. Usually, Panorama EC does not react to what appears to be legitimate advertising, however that specific letter forwarded to the EC seems to suggest there may be a crime problem affecting Glenfield in particular? In that regard, the Panorama EC wishes to refer to the official NSW Government crime statistics from the BOCSAR (Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research - https://www.bocsar.nsw.gov.au) who offer a Crime Mapping Tool that can be used to prepare reports tailored to a specific postcode or suburb, see http://crimetool.bocsar.nsw.gov.au/bocsar/ We encourage you to use that online tool to get the facts in matters crime, and form your own opinion about what really goes on in this area (and what does not). Yes, there is petty crime within Panorama, predominantly theft, including a few weird occurrences like a car being broken into just to steal sunglasses, potted herbs disappearing and even used shoes left at the front door. But overall this is a safe area with low to very low crime rates. In regard to social networking, Panorama EC thinks it is always a good to get to know your neighbours personally. So have a chat over the fence next time when you are in the backyard or come to our next General Meeting when that is advertised on this Facebook page. We wish you all continue to enjoy living within Panorama, as we do Your EC

12.01.2022 Hopefully someone saw something!

09.01.2022 Dear Residents, In the past few weeks there have been questions concerning the extent of the Panorama community strata scheme, including from persons interested in purchasing homes. Please refer to the image attached, which however has some limitations in regard to its accuracy, and should therefore not be used to make commercial decisions.... If you plan to buy property within Panorama or elsewhere, a land title search is always recommended instead. Known issues relate to some boundaries around the storm water retention basins that are on Campbelltown City Council land, one of those having been resumed recently. Best regards Panorama Executive Committee

07.01.2022 Panorama FTTH - a brief history with some background Dear Community members, This is in response to what appear to be allegations of wrongdoing raised against former and serving members of the Executive Committee in a post earlier, and we take such allegations seriously even if they are ignorant and made without any evidence to back them....Continue reading

06.01.2022 Panorama & COVID-19 (update) Dear Residents, The facilities of Panorama Community are now CLOSED indefinitely.... 02.01.2022 The Crossroads Hotel closed after COVID outbreak Dear Residents, Very probably you have already heard that The Crossroads Hotel near the Panorama Community is now closed and at the centre of a most recent local COVID-19 outbreak.... NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant has said that anyone who visited the pub between July 3 and July 10 should get tested and isolate for 14 days. Below is a link to the most recent article in the Sydney Morning Herald about this particular outbreak. This unfortunate event is unfolding close to Panorama, and validates a decision by the Panorama EC two weeks ago, to keep the facilities of the strata closed for time being.
