07.01.2022 SPORTING FLASHBACK Thanks to The Cheesecake Shop Besides being a 2013 Redbacks Premiership player and League B&F, you may not know that 2020 re-signing Tyler Scarce is also an accomplished marathon runner. This sporting flashback takes us to the Berlin Marathon on September 29th 2019, when TJ ran a 2.44.17, just over 40 minutes behind the professional Ethiopian winner. Tyler's incredible effort saw him finish 680th of nearly 31,000 starters. That's TJ in the black on the right. We look forward to seeing Tyler rack up the mileage on the footy field again next year.

06.01.2022 'HILLER ON THE BLOCK Thanks to Tobin Brothers One of our own players, Zac Biddiscombe was involved in one of this seasons biggest controversies on Channel 9's The Block last night. Chippy Zac is working with Dan & Jade on Team S.A. whose house was shut down by Foreman Keith who saw the skylight fitters drop a big piece of timber which just missed the plumber by a fraction, who wasn't wearing a helmet. Everybody in the house, including Zac, was ordered to resit the induction while Keithy tore strips off them! Watch out for Zac again during Hallway and Laundry week.

03.01.2022 VALE CHARLIE GILMORE The club is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former player and passionate supporter Charlie Gilmore, father of current player Kane, and former players Jay and Ty Gilmore . In the 80’s, Charlie was a nuggety hard type who never shirked an issue, a trait he instilled in Kane, and was thrilled to see it pay off for him in the 2013 Redbacks Premiership. He always watched his boys play. Sadly Charlie was taken to hospital on Christmas Day following complications of pneumonia and a brain tumor and passed away Sunday night. He was only 63. Our love and deepest sympathies are with Denise and the Gilmore family at this time.
