23.01.2022 With the changing weather and early sunsets now is an ideal time to find an interesting location and relax. Wait while the sky lights up in it's glory and be there to capture the moment. P.S.remember your tripod and use a small aperture for greater depth of field.

11.01.2022 While some mornings are crisp and still, turn your frosty colour images into a dramatic black and white for added effect. Use your in camera filters or post production of your choice.

10.01.2022 Spring is in the air and with it comes all the colour and splendour of our native plants. An ideal time to practice some close up of flora or macro photography of the insect types. (Web image of the Warratah, by Greg Bourke)

06.01.2022 A last minute notice from a local in selling photographic gear. Sounds more like collectable things but open today until 12 if interested. 4 Giggs Glenn Craigmore

01.01.2022 As we move into the summer of sports it is important to know the best settings for a sharp capture. Generally the rule of thumb is 1/focal length, but we also have to take into consideration if you have a cropped sensor. So if you are using a 250mm lens you should ideally be at 1/250sec, but on a cropped sensor that would be 1/40Osec for apsc or 1/500sec for micro 4/3rds. Other than that the option is to pan, holding your focus on the subject and following the motion. This panning will result in background blur and with practice a sharp subject.

01.01.2022 The Para Camera club's November outing was to the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsular in South Australia, we had around a dozen of our club members venture out. The places we visited were; the Buddha statue at Sellicks Beach, which was amazing but also closed for renovations, we then took a short trip to the Washpool reserve, with plenty of time up our sleeves we decided to go to Myponga reservoir, while a few members dropped in at a Myponga cafe - next stop was to have tea on the beach at Silver sands, tad bit windy and not very pleasant so Snapper point was our dining venue, then off to the Old Pt Willunga jetty lovingly known as the sticks, before heading off home, nice day out - here are a few shots from our members on that day.
