25.01.2022 One of our amazing and beautiful mums came across this poem and thought of us. I thought I would share and add some photos of the children making life long memories in their early years. We understand that you are sad to wave Your child a goodbye To Leave them in the teacher’s hands... Don’t worry if you cry! We understand that you’re upset It’s hard to leave we know But it’s time to share them (just a bit) To help them learn and grow. Let us reassure you That we’ll give your child our best We’ll wipe their tears, Soothe their fears and change their dirty vest. If your child is feeling sad, We’ll help them through the day Just like you , We’ll care for them in a special way. Soon you’ll see some changes In your little girl or boy They’ll become more independent And to see this is a joy. We’ll teach them all we have to give, To share, climb and write And to you they safely will return So that you can tuck them in at night.

23.01.2022 The children had an absolute blast on Tuesday 11th February, when they had the opportunity to explore, investigate and discover in the mud pit after some rain. There are so many benefits to the children when having the opportunity to play in mud, below are a few of the benefits. BENEFITS OF MUD PLAY... Mud play encourages creativity in children. It can also be soothing and relaxing, providing an outlet for children to express their feelings through their senses. Mud play is important for children to develop and practice their fine and gross motor skills, by increasing their awareness of their senses, particularly touch, improve hand/eye coordination and develop their social and emotional skills, including taking turns and leading/following directions. Children develop a sense of self and belonging of their place in the world around them. Mud play is not focused on making or producing rather it is about the process.

23.01.2022 Is your family looking for quality care in 2021? At Paradise Road, we run play based programs for children aged 6 weeks and over. Early childhood education is so very important! When a child reaches pre-school age it is important to become involved in a kindergarten program to learn skills that they can draw upon for the rest of their lives. At kindergarten, a child will learn, develop skills, and play in a safe and happy environment. Early childhood care and education is more than preparation for primary school. It aims at the holistic development of a child's social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs in order to build a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing Contact us for a centre tour on ph: (07) 33860870 or email [email protected]

22.01.2022 Come and join us during the pupil-free days, school holidays and every other day! The children are having a great time as always, good food, good friends and lots of fun to be had at Paradise Road Early Learning. Come for a visit, a centre tour or stay all day. Business as usual - opening hours are 6.30am - 6.30pm.

21.01.2022 Today at Paradise Road Early Learning Centre we celebrating our NF (Neurofibromatosis) Hereos with a fundraiser and fun day for the Childrens Tumour Foundation Australia. Miss Sammi has taught a few of the NF hereos and has attended many of the CTF events and gotten to know many of the families and heroeos personally. This year the children were asked to wear green, blue or yellow to represent the NF awareness ribbon. Some of the children doned the NF capes that were donated by Rachel Skelton an NF hero mum and Miss Sammi read "The NF hero" book, that explains to children in a friendly way all of the things an NF hero goes through.

21.01.2022 Our beautiful Pre-Kindy A children have been developing their social-emotional skills through an array of play experiences, helping them to further develop empathy. * establishing a secure and strong attachment with their educators and peers. * it helps them to build a sense of security and build stronger relationships with others, this positions them for learning.... Friendships; The bonds that children develop with important peers in their lives - bring comfort and happiness as well as opportunities to learn and develop in a social world through sharing empathy.

20.01.2022 March is upon us, and we have lots of interesting and fun experiences plan. One very close to my heart is the Cupids Undie Run held on the 20th March this year. The Cupids Undie Run was established to help raise much needed funds for the research of NF (Neurofibromatosis) which affects 1:3000 people in Australia. NF1 causes freckles/spots on the skin or eyes and benign swelling/lumps around nerves. NF2 is rare genetic disorder primarily characterised by benign tumours on n...erves, can cause cloudy lenses on eyes. I have joined up to do the run and fundraise for a beautiful little girl Bella and her mum Rachel Skelton. We will be hosting our own Cupids Undie Run with the children at the service, holding a raffle of art the children have painted and a fundraising box at the counter. All proceeds will go to the continuous research for NF. There is an event in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast. www.cupidsundierun.com.au #cupidsundierun https://www.facebook.com/100000072961801/posts/3039007469444989/ We will also be exploring Harmony Day and Holi Festival as part of our March Madness

19.01.2022 Why is Early Childhood Education so important? Early childhood education helps children by: * creating a life-long passion for learning... * helping them develop social skills * encouraging the development of fine motor and sensory skills * fostering language development and vocabulary * priming children to be creative * equipping them to cope with problem solving. 16.01.2022 I would like to introduce the awesome team of Educators at Paradise Road Early Learning. Come in and say hello - book a tour and meet us soon!

16.01.2022 The Kindergarten Program offers children the opportunity to explore, discover and investigate the world around them in a warm and trusting environment. Miss Sammi our fantastic teacher (Bachelor of Early Childhood Education), encourages the children to learn through social experiences, using the environment as a third teacher, and working with each child on individual plans to develop the fundamental life skills they need to excel at Prep. The Kindergarten program at Paradi...se Road also offers weekly Japanese language lessons with Nikko Nikko, enhancing the childrens knowledge of diversity. Our large play spaces complete with a water park and mud / construction area, chicken pen and veggie garden allow the children to explore the great outdoors. Playgrounds have a tremedous amount of shade throughout the whole day to allow time outside in all types of weather.

15.01.2022 Children in our care are provided with opportunites to learn in mixed age groups. Children benefit from mixed age groupings, as they develop friendships and engage in learning just as they would in same age settings, but with the added bonus of being able to access peer support and lead learning for other children. These opportunities offer children the chance to develop more sophisticated social skills. Children at our service are in groupings with peers and educators as defined by legislation and ratios - however, they are also able to interact with other classes without restriction if they show an interest and desire to do so. We encourage sibling or peer interactions throughout our daily programs and learning ventures.

14.01.2022 Update: The official race has been cancelled next Sunday, however we will continue with our fun run fundraiser Friday 20th March. We ask that the children all wear red and pay a gold coin donation on the day as we will be conducting our own Cupids run to show our support to these little hereos. Rachel Skelton one of the race directors and the mum of beautiful Bella who was diagnosed with NF at 6 weeks old has kindly donated some merchandise for the centre which includes shi...rts, hats and the official Cupids undies for our fun run. We will also be holding a raffle consisting of childrens artwork and a beautiful painting one of our lovely mums has donated. There will also be a donation tin on our front counter for anyone that wishes to donate a little extra. #cupidsundierun

11.01.2022 Playing in the mud inspires children to feel a connection to nature and develop an appreciation for the environment. Many children today have limited opportunities to play outdoors and it is difficult to care about the environment if you have not had the chance to spend time in nature. By providing time outdoors and the chance for muddy, messy play, you facilitate a love of the earth.

10.01.2022 https://youtu.be/0-qPcA_A8qo A lovely little story to watch with the children.

The children dressed in red, with some doning the official Cupids Undie Run merchandise to show their support for this wonderful cause. The children also participated in their very own Cupid undie run, with the after party disco, painting unique undies (maybe next years merch) and just good old fashion Aussie spirit and shenanigans. Thank you to everyone who donated and a quick reminder that next week we will continue fu...ndraising by selling raffle tickets to win the beautiful art piece Anita Hughes donated (1st prize) and 2nd and 3rd prize being wine. Tickets will be $2 each or 3 for $5 dollars. #ConquerNF #cupidsundierun

08.01.2022 Trying to make the day a little brighter with a new dance crazy.

08.01.2022 Meet "T" and "REX" this funny pair have come to join our Paradise Road Family, they keep the mosquitos at bay, enjoy the fruit and veggie scraps and love to be held. These beautiful native lizards make a fantastic pet, as they're active and are incredible to learn more about. Blue-tongue lizards are not poisonous and do not pose any threat to people or their pets. In fact, they can be a very helpful friend to have around the garden as they eat snails and caterpillars and other insects and can help keep the population of these invertebrate garden pests down. Come in and meet us today!

08.01.2022 Current information regarding the Novel coronavirus from the Australian Health Department. There has been one confirmed case of Novel coronavirus in Queensland, thos case was reported on the Gold Coast. We will continue to post the most up dated information regarding this as we receive it.

07.01.2022 This is Bella. Bella has Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1). NF1 is genetic disorder that affects 1 in 2500 births. It causes tumours to develop on the nerve cells (including the brain and spine). NF is progressive, unpredictable and there is no cure. It can cause blindness, deafness, bone abnormalities, learning difficulties, scoliosis, seizures, high blood pressure, chronic pain and an increased risk of cancer. Currently the govt dedicates approximately $20,000 per year to NF r...esearch. This is less than $2 per sufferer. Nf is more common than other well known disorders, such as Muscular Dystrophy and Huntingtons Disease, yet awareness is severely lacking. May is NF awareness month. Bella was born on World NF Awareness Day (17th May). My mission in life will always be to improve awareness about Neurofibromatosis; because tumours should never be a childs normal. And this is Libby who also has NF. On Friday 15th May Pradise Road Early Learning Centre will be dressing in Blue, Yellow or Green to help celebrate our mates fighting this condition. Please bring a gold coin donation. We will also be holding our raffle on this day so there is still time to buy your tickets. We will announce the winner on Facebook and also our Kindy hub page.

05.01.2022 Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain development. It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them.

05.01.2022 When children interact with animals, they build the all-important senses of connection, empathy and caring. They feel a sense of responsibility and are curious to find out more about the animal (or even bird, insect or fish). Caring for a pet instills respect for life and an awareness of the needs of others as well as giving children an understanding of how their behavior can affect others. Having pets lifts the children’s spirits, lessens tensions and even improves attendanc...e, reducing separation anxiety because the children are so keen to interact with the animals. Animal interaction is such an important component of early education that it is included in the National Quality Standard (NQS) which sets a high national benchmark for early childhood education and care and which is an integral component of the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). ACECQA works with governments to oversee quality at all childcare centres around Australia to improve outcomes for children.

03.01.2022 Children are so unique in their learning, skills and their abilities. They constantly grow and develop, especially in their first 5 years of life. This is such an important stage of their lives and sometimes we forget that a childs education and learning in the early stages of development (1st 5 years), is mainly through their engagement in play, imagination, exploration and discovery with peers.

02.01.2022 Dear Families Due to increasing flood risks and severe storm warnings, we would like to encourage you to collect your children as early as possible. Due to safety concerns, our centre courtesy bus service has been cancelled until further notice. Please stay safe, keep in contact and let us know if you have any questions or concerns

02.01.2022 Jingeri (Hello), The children have been exploring the local Indigenous language through the Yugembeh Museum school program. The children speak the acknowledgement daily in language and recently learned to sing happy birthday in language. On Wednesday they sang for MR Evans 18th Birthday. The children used their creativity to design their own Borobis using the colouring pages we downloaded. We then read Borobis story and investigated the symbols on his hands and feet. #bori...biinthewindow #borobiday2020 #borobi_jingeri #childcareprovider #eylf #yugembehmuseum Nya-nyah-bu (see you later)

We will be entering the Borobi in your window competition and looking for new words to use. #borobiday20 Nya-Nyah-bu (see ya later)

01.01.2022 We didnt realise we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun. Friendships-the bonds that children develop with important peers in their lives, bring comfort, hapiness and learn and develop in a social world; from sharing to empathy.

01.01.2022 This is one of the reasons in the Kindergarten room we focus on developing the childrens fine motor skills and not their academic skills. FINE motor development is essential for a childs learning, where as pencil grip and writing is a skill developed around age 6 years and should be left until year 1.

01.01.2022 Hello everyone, and welcome to 2020 at Paradise Road Early Learning Centre! This year one of our biggest focus points is going to be getting further out into our community. Last Wednesday, we had Montanna from @Mons Photography come in to the centre and take some amazing photos for our website. ... Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a little sneak peak of whats to come! Throughout this year, we will be endeavouring to become an even bigger part of our local and wider community. In order to reach this goal we will be encouraging our children, our families and our educators to take part in more community activities; we cant wait to see even more of our community becoming part of our extended family that we have all grown to adore so much. We look forward to kicking off 2020 with all our new and long term families and we hope you are just as excited to be going in to the new year with us, as we are with you! Lots of love, The Paradise Road Early Learning Team
