24.01.2022 Paramount "Self Contained Broadband Modules" as used by QUT "Learning Environments and Technology Services". Both models shown provide WIFI and Ethernet connectivity. The smaller model is fitted with a Long Life battery which allows 24 hours endurance without charging. Both are Telstra 4GX / Optus 4G+ compatible, and can be charged with a 10 watt Solar Panel. For more Information email: [email protected]

24.01.2022 We don't often see desktop workstations these days, but this one needed some extra speed so one of the fastest HDD's on the market was the solution. The Samsung 960PRO NVMe SSD. The 1TB version used here is not inexpensive but when speed is critical there is nothing better.

24.01.2022 - Emergency Internet Module Hire - Still equipped with an Industrial 4G modem/router, Ethernet connectivity and WIFI, this version is powered by a 240V transformer and has a screw on 4G external antenna (pictured) or High Gain free standing antenna. Ideal for use in temporary offices / site sheds, during office relocations or when the normal ADSL/NBN service is faulty.... For Hire Options Call: 1300 666 868 or email: [email protected]

22.01.2022 Wired or Wireless: Meeting Room Installation with 60" 4K monitor gives users the option to connect via HDMI/VGA or Wireless via a Microsoft Display Adapter. Any Laptop running Windows 10 can connect wirelessly without any third party software.

22.01.2022 Whats in the box? An Industrial Grade 3G/4G/4GX LTE WiFi Modem Router with download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps. It is one of the few routers on the Australian market that support band B28 (700MHz)

22.01.2022 Testing the range of our vehicle WIFI. At this distance (150 metres) we had 3/3 signal and no speed loss using an iPhone 6s.

19.01.2022 North Stradbroke Island campground guest WIFI project. Almost 100,000sqm of combined area covered.

19.01.2022 Paramount Turns 21 today! Heres a flashback to a PC Lab Rollout we did in 2001 for the Australian Catholic University at their North Sydney campus. The job involved removing 134 PCs and installing 134 new PCs over a weekend. We were provided access to computer labs from 4pm Friday and had to have them back up and running by 8am Monday morning (64 hours in total).... What was the latest technology back in 2001? - Pentium III - 256MB RAM - 20GB Hard Disk - Windows 98 - 17" SVGA Monitor The rollout cost: $282,000

17.01.2022 A Tuesday morning working under shady trees overlooking Moreton Bay with a cool breeze. Nice!

16.01.2022 WHAT IS A "SECTOR" ANTENNA? The small antenna (in the image) is similar to what you would find on a home wireless access point (2.1dBi gain). The larger one is a 16dBi WIFI sector antenna which covers a 90 degree area (like a slice of cake). Sector antennas are mounted vertically and angled slightly downwards (down-tilt) to direct the signal to the desired area.... Mobile phone towers use the same style of antenna, often fitting 3x120 degree or 6x60 degree sectors to provide full 360 degree coverage. This type of antenna must be spaced far enough apart to prevent interference which is why most mobile towers are fitted with large triangle shaped heads with mounting points at the ends.

15.01.2022 What do you do when flooding takes out your internet connection? Simple!

15.01.2022 In house fabricated sector antenna brackets. The standard brackets work fine but they look terrible. From a distance these will give the effect the antenna is floating in mid air.

14.01.2022 Today we replaced a dead data projector in a Church with dual 4K displays. Not only does it provide a far better image, but the 2 displays can be used independently of each other for smaller groups. The image is mirrored onto both displays by way of a 5.8GHz wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver.

14.01.2022 Paramount has just completed the first phase of a three phase Guest WIFI rollout. The location chosen for the access points was a centrally located toilet block. A 5.8GHz wireless backhaul was used to link the toilet block to the office (to provide internet connectivity) . Dual 16dBi 2.4Ghz sector antennas connected to High Density access points were used to meet the distance requirements for full coverage of the park. Owing to the picturesque location aesthetics were key. To... achieve this custom mounting brackets for the sector antennas were fabricated in-house to keep the look as clean as possible. Owing to the proximity to the beach all brackets, screws, washers used were marine grade stainless steel or in the case of the brackets, powder coated. Phase 2 & 3 of the project will commence in 2 weeks.

13.01.2022 People have been asking for the scale of the smaller Self Contained Broadband Module. This example is fitted with the larger battery and dual WIFI antennas as well as the usual water resistant Ethernet port. This model can also be connected to high gain vehicle or building mounted antennas for extremely remote locations.

13.01.2022 This is the reason you should always use an ethernet connection rather than WIFI (if available). These days the 2.4ghz spectrum (used by WIFI modems, bluetooth, cordless phones, baby monitors etc.) is incredibly congested.

12.01.2022 We dont often see desktop workstations these days, but this one needed some extra speed so one of the fastest HDDs on the market was the solution. The Samsung 960PRO NVMe SSD. The 1TB version used here is not inexpensive but when speed is critical there is nothing better.

12.01.2022 "There have been suggestions from industry, that consumers have unrealistic expectations about broadband speeds, says ACCC" Example: Client less than 500 metres from exchange.

11.01.2022 Temporary long range WIFI for the Quandamooka Festival up and running ready for the weekend.

10.01.2022 Wireless link: Today we completed a 590 Meter 5.8Ghz wireless link connecting two offices. By installing this link the client can disconnect the phone and internet at the 2nd office.

08.01.2022 --- See you in 2016 ---

08.01.2022 Body worn cameras. These include charging docks and feature GPS and infrared for night use.

06.01.2022 Oudoor WIFI coverage using dual 16dBi sector antennas. Paramount fabricated in house "standoff" brackets (painted black) to facilitate mounting to square posts. To eliminate cable loss the Wireless Access Point attaches directly to the back of the antenna and is powered by a POE+ switch. Earthing is provided through the use of heavy duty outdoor ethernet cable equipped with a copper earth "drain" wire.

06.01.2022 Today marks Paramounts 20th Anniversary. The IT world has certainly changed a lot over the past 2 decades. Thanks to all the great clients and vendors who have shared the first 20 years with us!

04.01.2022 One of the fastest SSDs on the market. Capable of Read speeds of 3200 MB/s and Write speeds of 1900 MB/s. These are a factor of times faster than a traditional HDD.

02.01.2022 VEHICLE WIFI: With an ever increasing reliance on connected services, even working on a beach is no longer an excuse for lack of Internet connectivity. The Vehicle WIFI system below utilises 3 antennas for maximum performance in low coverage areas. (Click the Photos for more details)
