23.01.2022 Red Angus On Farm Challenge judging two of our yearling heifers today at Ballarat Grammar Mt Rowan Farm. We are happy to support this inaugural commercially focussed initiative of Victorian Red Angus Breeders and Kevin Heggen. Thanks go to the students studying Agriculture and staff for taking good care of the heifers despite the changed plans. Along with Ballarat Grammar we are passionate supporters of ag education in schools. #OFC2020

22.01.2022 Castrating calves, dehorning, or need to ear notch? Here’s the go to guide on recommended pain relief products for each procedure according to the Animal Welfare Standards & Guidelines. We strongly support the use of pain relief as a cattle producer, and with most of our commercial cattle going through the Greenham Never Ever Program it’s a no brainer.

11.01.2022 Putting out mineral licks for the heifers, and we are so fortunate to be experiencing one of our best grass seasons ever. Second round AI done for our Q's, so out goes the new back up bull from Alpine Angus. Looking forward to seeing his calves on the ground in 2021.

08.01.2022 Many thanks to purchasers and under bidders who made our 16th Annual Sale a success yesterday. And special thanks to our long term clients and friends who visited, bought or sent messages. We truely value your support of our Paringa program. A summary of results to follow.

05.01.2022 Good enough to eat... This is 'Tom's turbo pasture cropping mix that was direct drilled into dry soil before the autumn break in March 2020. The oats, triticale and Moby barley have run their course, now the Annual Rye and Balansea Clover are hitting their straps. Likely with the season we are currently experiencing, we will be able to defer graze with weaners in February. The multi species mix has helped pump carbon into the soil and done a good job on our young red bulls for the recent sale. No chemical, no urea.. #sustainablefarming #soilcarbon #lowcarbonbeef #sustainablebeef #pasturemix #grassraised #rotationalgrazing #meatstandardsaustralia

05.01.2022 A red and black set of twin heifers born this week.. Mum is doing a good job looking after both calves. Ever had coloured twin calves at your place?
