24.01.2022 Toddlers and Jnr Kindy exploring their sense of smell with tea bag painting, sense of touch with texture grass and animals, sense of sight with mirror blocks and multicultural people. These were extension activities from last weeks body part activities.

24.01.2022 Jnr Kindy enjoyed exploring farm animals today by making animal masks and role playing with the animal statuses. The group also used their creative expression while building with the lego and train set.

23.01.2022 The Toddlers practiced their teeth brushing skills today with our mouth puppet and were very excited to take home their tooth brushing chart

22.01.2022 Nursery, Toddler and Junior Kindy

22.01.2022 This week we have been learning about the letter H. Today we listened to and watched How the camel got his hump on the big screen. We also got to answer some interactive questions after the story. We also read The farmers Hat. Our scissor skills and hand eye coordination were also extended as we cut, identified and glue our upper and lower case Hh. We also decorated the farmers hat with collage.

22.01.2022 Pre Prep participated in some interactive learning today on the touch screen. We also extended our pencil control and writing skills. Also enjoying construction, working together and having fun indoors.

21.01.2022 Toddlers created their very own flowers today using paper plates,paint and sponge brushes. The group also enjoyed playing out in the nice warm sun while sharing the swings, using their gross motor skills to climb the obstacle and ride the bikes. The sand pit was very popular where our friends enjoyed pouring,mixing and building with the sand.

17.01.2022 Pre Prep Friday Pyjama Day Fun

17.01.2022 Jnr kindy enjoyed some early morning play outside before it got to hot today making cake's in the sand and using our balance and gross motor skills on the swings. Inside was alot cooler as we used our creative expression while stamping with some Christmas stamps. The group also chose to have the lego out building towers and houses while using great pre maths and sharing skills.

16.01.2022 Us kids are great at spreading germs. Hand washing, covering coughs and the annual flu vaccine is the best way to stop the spread.

16.01.2022 Happy Australia Day Yesterday our Kindy/Pre-Prep friends were very excited to make ANZAC biscuits for all of our friends in the centre This activity promoted problem solving, fine motor skills and community

15.01.2022 This week we have been learning about the letter R. Today we created a rectangle robot with collage. Coloured a robot and enjoyed some fun in the sunshine outdoors.

15.01.2022 Today in Kindy we had a discussion about our weekend. Miss Bree told us that she had done some gardening at her home and we seemed very excited about this so Miss Bree decided to do some gardening with us today. We were very excited to help plant some pea seeds and we even found a grub which we moved so it wouldnt eat our plants. We look forward to seeing them grow and being able to pick the peas.

14.01.2022 Jnr Kindy chose to paint with the colours blue and red today and as we were creating our master pieces the group noticed when you mix red and blue together it makes purple. The rain didnt stop us from being active today we created an outside play area inside, with an obstacle course and some balls to use our gross motor skills to climb, jump, balance and throw.

10.01.2022 Over the last couple of weeks our Pre-Prep friends have been showing increasing interest spelling. Today during group time we explored sight words with the alphabet lego. The Pre-Preps enjoyed showing their friends the letters they found and helping each other search for the letters to complete their words

09.01.2022 Pre Prep read Tutus island adventures on the big screen as we wrote our own story by deciding what happened next. We have continued working on the letter R as we cut and pasted shape rockets. At group time we all worked at identifying and drawing our shapes.

06.01.2022 Jnr Kindy enjoyed our extended outside play today, soaking up the fresh air and warn sun shine. Lots of gross motor skills explored today on the fort and slide, bikes and swings, on the obstacle course and with the bouncy balls. Happy birthday again to our friend Veronica thanks for sharing your yummy cakes with us even though we made you blush when the group sang happy birthday.

02.01.2022 Today the Toddlers celebrated world elephant day by making creating our own elephants with paper plates and discovering some elephant facts on the internet including what elephants need in their environment to live happy and healthy.

01.01.2022 Today in the Pre-Prep and Kindy room we participated in National Simultaneous Storytime. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously at 11am all over the world. This years book was Give me some space by Philip Bunting. ... The book tells the story of Una who wants to be an Astronaut and travel the solar system. When Una accomplishes her dream she discovers that she didn't need to be an Astronaut at all as she lives on the greatest spaceship of all .......Earth We also watched a movie about the Solar System, explored space small world play and drew our own Solar Systems Link to QKLG: 2.2.3,4.1.3 Link to NQS: 6 2.3

01.01.2022 Pre Prep created Lions and lady bugs as we learnt about the letter Ll

01.01.2022 Jnr kindy continued to explore farm animals today while inside and outside. The group enjoyed some animal yoga with Miss Priya and created some pigs using paper plates while discussing what noise pigs make. While inside our friends were very excited to paint with some animal statues in brown paint to role play animals playing in mud and making foot prints on the paper. Home corner was very popular once again where the children shared and communicated verbally and non verbally with one another.
