19.01.2022 So unfortunately....following a meeting between the government and VACC, further clarification has been received. As a result, things have changed dramatically for our industry since our last update. We are allowed to remain open to carry out repairs on vehicles with an ‘essential and critical need’. These will be booked in on a case by case basis after discussions with the customer. Sadly, general, logbook and scheduled servicing is unfortunately off the table. As a VicRoa...ds licensed vehicle tester and following their advice, our interpretation is that we are allowed to conduct roadworthy inspections and associated repairs required for the operations of a permitted work premise. We are saddened that it has come to this, but this is just the way it has to be for now. We will take it day by day, and there is no guarantee that things won’t change further. But for now, the workshop will remain open, working under our Covid Safe Plan, so please call us with any questions. Thanks guys

14.01.2022 THANK YOU Our toy drive has come to a close and I’ve just delivered 424 items, along with stacks of wrapping paper. The winners of our $300 voucher this year is the Winter Family! With the lucky 13th donation!! Congratulations; each year you’ve contributed to this drive and we really appreciate your support ... Big thanks must also go to the educators and families at Whittlesea Pre School. They donated just over 60 gifts this year; an amazing effort Also to the families at Whittlesea Primary who donated their colour run prizes - thank you Thanks again to all who donated; my special elves and the guys and girls at the workshop...Merry Christmas everyone

10.01.2022 In light of all that is happening regarding COVID-19, we thought it was time to connect with everyone and let you know of some measures we’ve put in place. It is business as usual at Parker’s Auto Plus and we are following guidelines and advice from the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services along with the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce. We’ve always maintained a high degree of hygiene and care, but have put extra measures in place such as the use of glo...ves and increased frequency of disinfection. This is to protect our customers, our staff and their families. Should you be a more vulnerable member of the community and don’t wish to leave your home, we are very happy to collect and return your vehicle to you. As most of you may know, Mark’s daughter was immune compromised during and following treatment for cancer last year. Thankfully she is fully recovered, but because of this we can appreciate that there are pockets within our community feeling quite fearful. So generous of you all! This store truly has something for everyone, please make sure you check it out Dolly’s Dream, was established by family and friends, after the devastating loss of Amy Dolly Everett at the age of 14. Since establishing Dolly’s Dream, they have undertaken so much work, to try and create positive change and help prevent the lives of other children being lost, as a result of bullying. 07.01.2022 ***Update***: *** Car has been located by police. Currently under investigation. Further information will be available in the coming days. *** On the 19th/20th... December, thieves smashed their way into the back of Whittlesea Fire Station sometime through the night. As part of our preparation for yesterday’s Total Fire Ban forecast, members turned up to the station early to find our Field Command Vehicle (FCV) a 4WD land cruiser had been stolen. This vehicle was specially fitted out with radios and other essential items required for communication and coordination vehicle. Although for some it may only be a car, for the Whittlesea Fire Brigade it was an important member of it’s family. This vehicle has played a pivotal role within and beyond the Whittlesea community. In 2009, the FCV rescued and transported members of the public to safety during the Black Saturday bushfires. As this vehicle was fitted with a ‘tracking system’ it’s last known location was Westmeadows. Our FCV was purchased through Brigade funds which come from the generous donations of organisations, businesses and kind individuals from the Whittlesea Township. Insurance on the vehicle simply will not cover the cost of replacement and we need community support to help to so. If you would like to assist the brigade in replacing this vital equipment please consider going to our fundraising site and contributing. Any donation, not matter how big or small are greatly appreciated and will go towards our role in providing safety to the community. The timing of this for the Brigade, right before Christmas and as we head into what is forecast to be a long and difficult fire season is a further blow to our volunteers. For the Whittlesea community, rest assured we are still here to protect lives and property and we have already have a temporary replacement, kindly loaned by the Whittlesea Diamond Valley Group. 05.01.2022 A MOMENT OF SILENCE Tomorrow afternoon on Wednesday 29 April 2020 at 5:40pm, many brigades across Victoria will be sounding their fire station ...sirens four times as a mark of respect to the four police officers who tragically lost their lives last week. If you're out and about in the Whittlesea area or beyond at this time, there is no reason to be concerned or alarmed should you hear fire station sirens sounding. While the Whittlesea fire station siren is sounding, please do consider standing for a moment of silence at 5:40pm tomorrow to honour those lost, their families and the Victoria Police community.
