19.01.2022 Today we held our arena opening for our club funded by the Northparkes Sports Grants. Our special event was kindly attended by representative from Northparkes Mine Nartayliah VanDyk and Sports Council representative Al Gersbach. And the special guest of the day and the first person to ride in the new arena was former Parkes Pony Club member Debbie Blaxland riding her very special horse Cooper in an elementary test. The audience was a lovely mix of pony club members, their fam...ilies and local community members showing their support for our club which was wonderful. The kids were inspired by Debbie’s test and cannot wait to ride in the arena themselves We also wanted to say a huge thank you to Steve Blackstock who organised the sand and spread it, Mitch at Agriwest for donating new fence caps and Adrian Chapman who spent hours at the grounds getting the poles cleaned up, setting out the arena and the surrounds and fencing the arena.
