24.01.2022 What a busy day for the Dubbo Rescue Squad with a total of 3 call outs in one day! Starting off with our first call out to a missing persons search, later this afternoon rescue teams were activated to yet another job which seems to be our most common job of all time the typical ‘cat stuck in tree’ situation! Rescue attempts were carried out and Lucky the cat is safe and in her family’s care. And finally our last call out of the day (that we know of) was a motor vehicle incident located on Talbragar River Bridge involving 2 vehicles with one female patient trapped. Ambulance crews treated the female patient and she was released from the vehicle. Another day done and dusted for our busy team! Stay safe on our roads! #vrarescue

08.01.2022 Another day another rescue! (Cat rescue that is) Dubbo members were called out to an animal rescue today approximately 12:17PM. On arrival VRA members worked along side Fire + Rescue to search for a cat which could be heard through the walls of the house. ... After some time, our rescue operator submerged from the floor boards of the house with a little 4 week old kitten. The kitten is now safe and sound at the vets! Another job well done! No job too big or too small for the VRA Good job team! #VRARESCUE #FIRE+RESCUE #RESPONSE #KITTENRESCUE
