12.01.2022 Every year we try and bring something new to make the club better. This year a number of Off Field developments have contributed to that aspiration. In addition to COVID checking procedures with QR code’s and all the changes to match day and training procedures, this year we have; The new electronic scoreboard at Old Kings Oval working brilliantly. Upgraded the electronic scoreboard software at Merrylands to the same as Old Kings to make it easier to learn and operate just o...ne system. Introduced the frogbox live streaming system, under the Sydney Cricket Association umbrella. Frogbox is integrated into the mycricket Live scoring app so you can watch the game from anywhere in the world and keep right up to date with the scores. Kevin Tyler and partners have also introduced Pitchvision for coaching purposes, a great addition to coaching resources. Eftpos has been introduced at Old Kings for non cash purchases in this COVID era. Finally, following the success of the inflatable cover system at Old Kings, we have purchased the same system for Merrylands Oval in conjunction with Cumberland Council. The new covers should arrive within weeks. It’s been a crazy off season and a disrupted start to the playing dates, but we are still moving ahead as a club and we look forward to great performances through the rest of the season. Good luck today in the Men’s Round against UNI of NSW, and on Sunday to our Ladies against St George/Sutherland. Greg Monaghan
