03.01.2022 Petition to Parramatta Council:

03.01.2022 Let us introduce our selves! Susan has been a unionist and community activist for more than 30 years. She has led campaigns, including strike actions to defend... workplace rights and conditions. Susan is a committed campaigner for womens rights, the environment and refugees. During the devastating 2019-20 bushfires, Katrina and Susan organised two community protests in Parramatta to demand climate action - Katrina has strong roots in Western Sydney, having grown up in Penrith and now living in Harris Park. She has always been an advocate for social justice and community. Her training as a photographer has helped her see the world through many different lenses and allowed her to meet people from all walks of life, from politicians to public servants. Katrina has produced many community events across Western Sydney including The Westies Markets, Parramattas Foundation Day events and currently manages Village Cafe for Penrith City Council. She strives to support locals and to create spaces that are inclusive of the diverse range of people who live in the area. Katrina holds a strong belief that community members are the experts of their own experiences and should be at the centre of any future developments.
