16.01.2022 19 new cases of #COVID19 have been diagnosed in NSW between 8pm on 27 July and 8pm on 28 July. For the latest list of COVID-19 locations, visit: https://nsw.gov....au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates Three of the new cases are linked to the funeral gatherings cluster, ten are associated with Thai Rock Wetherill Park, and two are associated with the Thai Rock restaurant at Potts Point. One new case is a staff member at the Apollo restaurant in Potts Point, one is linked to the Crossroads cluster, and two are returned travellers in hotel quarantine. NSW Health yesterday expanded the public health warning for Potts Point in inner Sydney with confirmation of three new cases linked to the area cluster, and the closure of the Cruising Yacht Club Australia (CYCA) for deep cleaning, after two cases visited the venue. Anyone who attended the Apollo restaurant from Wednesday July 22 to Sunday 26 July must self-isolate for 14 days from the date of their visit and be tested regardless of symptoms. With the growing number of cases in the area, NSW Health is again asking all people who live in or have visited the Potts Point area in the past two weeks to get tested if they have any symptoms of COVID-19 at all, even the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose or scratchy throat. NSW Health advises that a case attended the 8 am Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Parramatta on Sunday 19 July. People who attended this mass are advised to monitor for symptoms and seek testing if they develop symptoms. NSW Health advises that a child, now diagnosed with COVID-19, attended school at Bayanami Public School in Parramatta one day while infectious on Friday 24 July. The school is non-operational while deep cleaning and contact tracing are underway. Close contacts will be identified and required to self-isolate for 14 days from Friday 24 July. There are now 85 cases associated with Thai Rock Wetherill Park, 57 cases associated with the Crossroads Hotel cluster, eight cases associated with Batemans Bay Soldiers Club, and 18 associated with the funerals. There are seven cases associated with the Potts Point cluster. There are 10 locations for the public to access COVID-19 testing in Sydney and Waverly LGAs: six walk-in clinics (Surry Hills pop-up clinic, Rushcutters Bay Park pop Up, Sydney and Sydney Eye Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, Redfern Health Centre & Central Railway Station Clinic) one drive through (Bondi Beach) one GP respiratory clinics (Bondi Junction) two private pathology providers requiring GP referrals (Bondi Junction MedLab and Sydney DHM) Anyone feeling unwell even with the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose or scratchy throat must seek testing and self-isolate until they get the result. Stay at home, and do not go to work or catch public transport until you are cleared of COVID-19. A full list of COVID-19 testing clinics is available at the following link, or people can visit their GP: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectio//Pages/clinics.aspx Anyone directed to undertake a 14-day self-isolation period must stay in isolation for the full period, even if they test negative. This is because early testing may not detect an infection, and release from self-isolation based on a negative test could allow an infectious person to infect others in the community. The self-isolation period is 14 days as most people who are infected and develop symptoms will develop symptoms within 14 days of infection. There are 100 COVID-19 cases being treated by NSW Health. Five people in intensive care, with one being ventilated. Ninety per cent of cases are in non-acute, out-of-hospital care. In NSW, 2,800 people are known to have recovered from COVID-19.

03.01.2022 This year has been a challenging year for everyone, and circumstances make it even more important for us to stay connected. Today, Thursday 10 September is R U OK? Day and World Prevention Suicide Day, an opportunity to shine a light on suicide prevention and a reminder to reach out to those around you who need support. This year the theme is to encourage everyone to keep the conversation going, when someone says they are not OK, make time to listen, encourage action and check-in.
