We have a casual position open with us 6-14 hrs a week as our Farmers Market Operations Coordinator You will work closely with ...the Marketing and Events Coordinator to operate a weekly farmers' market. This role will involve a wide range of activities including administration, community engagement, marketing and promotion, communication, reporting and compliance. You will assist the organisation to achieve its weekly famers’ market operations by maintaining a professional, friendly and efficient disposition and a covid safe event. Selection Criteria - Applicants need to demonstrate: High level of energy and enthusiasm Early riser (6:30am start) Confident, motivated attitude Clear and honest communication skills Relevant events/market experience Ability to work productively as part of a small team Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail People management skills including conflict resolution Advanced computer and office management skills (iPad, square) Professional presentation and manner Experience that would be an advantage: An understanding of regional food systems Experience working in community/volunteer organisations WH&S experience Hours: Minimum 6 hours and up to14 hours per week with markets operating every Wednesday 6:30-10 am (4:45-10:30- bumpin/out). 01.01.2022 In late June 2020, the network issued a media release telling the story of how we have recorded dramatic increases in retail sales at the weekly farmers' mark...et with foot traffic more than doubling since the coronavirus pandemic emerged back in March. Four months down the track these new patterns of behaviour seem to have stuck. Even on a rainy Wednesday morning, more than 700 shoppers came through the market and several stallholders sold out of produce.
