20.01.2022 On Wednesday, John Wray our paediatrician, Janelle Clifton our occupational therapist and Kate Haliczenko our mental health occupational therapist did a workshop at Leonora District High School called "Promoting positive behaviour in the classroom". We are able to chat with locals, offering hands on advice about how to help their kids develop fine motor skills, language skills, and social skills. We feasted on roo tail and damper! Thanks Leonora for your hospitality, see you in a month.

01.01.2022 Today is 9p minus awareness day. This is Quinn he has a deletion of his 9th chromosome on the p side. He is an awesome human. He is very creative and funny and ...makes us laugh everyday. He has some challenges that affect him physically, intellectually and emotionally. Hes had several surgeries in his short life beginning with craniofacial surgery at 13month where the amazing plastics and neuro unit at Princess Margaret hospital removed his forehead and made him a new one. Otherwise hed be living life with a very pointy head with possible cranio pressure. Hes missing a tear duct so his eye is constantly leaking and sometimes a little mucky. He dribbles a lot less than he used to. Hes currently learning to ride a balance bike, attending main stream school and going to circus and footy training. One of his most favourite things to do is swim. Hes a very likeable chap with an incredible imagination. Sometimes hes hard to follow but if you listen to him hell tell you an amazing tale. More than likely featuring Charcoal his imaginary dog whose been with him for over four years. Thanks to all who read to the end. And happy 9p minus awareness day to you all. See more
