18.01.2022 This does strike me as the science of the bleeding obvious. Walking fast will elevate heart rate and respiration. Not only more oygen in but the additional volume and speed of blood flow should or will help remove plaque from arteries and veins, reducing the chance of heart attack or stroke.
15.01.2022 Autophagy = "eat thyself" Weird but fascinating. Watch the video. In essence, autophagy is the body's process of cleaning up the debris in our body (think cell death and recycle, toxins, broken stuff) which is then used as an energy source for healthy cells. During intermittent fasting we can force autophagy to occur. Excess cells from weight loss (think excess skin etc) can be recycled instead of hanging about. 10.01.2022 There is a simple logic that we often hear in a fitness environment - "you can't out-train a bad diet". If you ask someone about their diet, often you will find people saying they are eating quite healthily; and that is probably true for the 3 main meals. The downfall for many, myself included, is snacks and portion sizes. Here is a great guide from a nutritionist on meal prepping. Really read it - don't skip and scan. 06.01.2022 Only a couple of weeks ago, I was offered a PT position at Your World 24/7 Fitness. I'm having a great time. I'm learning a lot about how to create a PT business and I'm enjoying interacting with a very broad member base - from corporate types to international students. My personal client portfolio is growing much faster than I would have expected - which is a huge relief and a great blessing. :) For the rest of April, YWF has a fantastic offer - $299 for a year's membership. 05.01.2022 I love the creativity in this girl's workouts! It just demonstrates that you can use just about anything to as exercise equipment, from body weight, resistance bands, to painted lines to weights. Whatever is available.

Inspired by my irrepressible son, Liam Mason of Holistic Monkey PT, in 2017 I completed Cert IV in Fitness at FIT College South Australia. A fantastic experience with amazing trainers. An awesome experience for me and a totally new career direction.
