18.01.2022 Looks like a good turnout for the 2019 Stage Queensland BOMNet Conference.

14.01.2022 Started the day in Wyhalla with breakfast of bacon egg rolls and fruits and cereals. First stop was Iron Knob which has the first iron mine in Australia. A pret...ty quiet old mining town. Lunch was at Mount Ive. Beer stop at a massive salt plain. Stopped at Smokey Bay where the locals donated 2000 fresh oysters and squid etc. Oyster shucking contest done. Arrive in Ceduna and dinner at the pub. Seafood everywhere. Over 500klms again today with 350 klms on dirt. See more

First one is a 1930s Art Deco Bakelite card holder - a lovely piece which was most recently used in our production Of One Man, Two Guvnors. See more

07.01.2022 Been off the grid for 2 days so unable to post. Breaky in Ceduna and off to hit the Nullabor. We stopped at the Head of the Bight to see the whales where we pi...cked up our lunch packs. With that done we set off and stopped at Nullabor roadhouse to fuel up and to make the turn on to the old Nullabor. The road was rocky, rough and in a lot of places not that wide. Got about 130 klms in and the diff went bang, car locked up and we were stopped. This was at 3:30. Bit of a wait. We had the ambos stop and have a chat. We had some beer provided as we were out. The tray truck arrived and loaded us up and we were off again......to check out another car. A Benz that had done a starter motor. Both cars loaded up on the truck, is in the back of the truck and headed into Madura. Arrived there at 12:30 am which was actually 11:15 there time. The boys had fired the bbq back up and cooked some snags prawns etc to feed us and the mechanics. We missed the Vegas night but arrived safely. A few beers and swagged up at about 2am. See more

01.01.2022 Following the 18 March 2020 announcement of a national ban on indoor events with more than 100 people, the Council of Canberra Repertory Society (REP) has no op...tion but to cease our productions until the bans are lifted. This is for the ongoing health and safety of our members, audiences, staff and volunteers. The end date for the bans has not yet been announced. Given that, REP will not be able to continue with its production of Brighton Beach Memoirs scheduled to run from 30 April to 16 May. Ticket sales will cease until such time as we are confident that we can safely present shows again. REP staff will be contacting all ticket holders to discuss their three options: 1. Request a credit for the full value of the ticket for a production when we can resume; 2. Request and receive a full refund of the ticket price; or 3. Donate the price of the ticket to REP to help us maintain capacity to provide quality entertainment in the future. Due to the uncertainty around the duration of the bans, we are currently unable to indicate which productions will go ahead this year and which, if any, will be cancelled. This is a dilemma facing arts organisations across the country and we seek your patience as we progress through this global pandemic. REP is monitoring advice from the Federal and Territory governments and will update information regularly as conditions change. Please take care of yourselves and watch this space for further information. We look forward to being able to present quality theatre to our community again soon. Michael Sparks OAM President, Canberra Repertory Society on behalf of REP Council
