25.01.2022 Its a beautiful spring morning. Maori Magic having a quiet canter around the track

24.01.2022 Sunday at the beach

24.01.2022 Our big boy Superveloce raced well above his grade today but didn’t disgrace himself finishing not too far away for 3rd and picked up a handy little cheque for his connections. Again he recorded the fastest final 600 and 400 for the race. He tried his heart out and that’s all we can ask of him

23.01.2022 Pete loves to swim! And it’s great exercise

23.01.2022 3 boys ready for their jumpouts at Murray Bridge this morning Run On - Superveloce - Spy Colonel

23.01.2022 Its Darwin Cup day today! A very special day to us thanks to Nozi bringing the Cup back to SA way back in 2006! And 12 months ago to the day Superveloce stormed home to win easily on Palmerston Sprint day. We cant be in Darwin this year but already planning and cant wait to get up there again next year!

23.01.2022 Its been hard work but a great opportunity to work with the Freedman team over the past couple of months. Ive been fortunate to have been trusted with some of their beautiful horses. 5 time G1 winner Santa Ana Lane and G1 winners Warning and Lyre to name a few. Also I had the pleasure of having Realm of Flowers, what a beautiful filly! Still so raw and still learning what life is all about. The sky is the limit for her! Thank you Anthony and Sam and all the team at Freedman Racing.

22.01.2022 Lovely spelling facilities close by = happy healthy horses

22.01.2022 Our beautiful new girl Up - yes that’s her name

22.01.2022 Bee Jaay is on the come back trail after going shin sore for the 3rd time! Sometimes a late maturing horse can go shin sore multiple times. She will get over it eventually, it just takes time and patience.

21.01.2022 Great to kick off Palmerston Sprint Day with a winner!! Superveloce (aka James) came from last to win!! Whoo hoo!

21.01.2022 Bobs first time at the beach in Darwin

20.01.2022 This girl is learning how to swim in the pool! Safely and calmly we can build their confidence. Swimming is such great exercise for the horses.

19.01.2022 Its a privilege to be given the responsibility of caring for these beautiful athletes. Today at Morphettville I saddled up horses for the Anthony Freedman stable. They included A Shin Rook the winner of City of Adelaide (Listed) and also the talented 3 yo Warning who ran 3rd in the Chairmans Stakes (G3) who is on an SA Derby trail. Thanks to my little team of helpers! Photos - Rising Sun Photography

17.01.2022 So pleased with Yeelanna (Frankie) today. She showed great tenacity in the straight and she nearly caused an upset by stretching the short priced favorite!

16.01.2022 It’s all about one thing, the horse. Everything else comes after

16.01.2022 Strathalbyn trials with Gwent and Justin Potter

16.01.2022 Boys having a well earned rest on the beautiful green grass of Meadows.

15.01.2022 Photos from today. Thanks to Rising Sun Photography. It was strange, no crowds, no spectators only the people who really needed to be there to keep the day running safely. Very professionally run, temperatures of every participant and official when you arrive and then arm bands to identify your temperature was within normal ranges. Even a lady cleaning the door handles and hand rails frequently during the day. Definitely everyone keeping their distance from one another. The horses were nice and relaxed without the usual raceday buzz. No joy today but both boys did not disgrace themselves.

15.01.2022 Superveloce working around through the thick fog this morning

15.01.2022 Winner!! Maori Magic salutes in the bushfire appeal colours! This means $500 is being donated from TRSA and even better Racing.com are matching it and donating another $500!! So very proud to be a part of this wonderful incentive Beautiful ride from Claudia today! Congratulations to all winning connections

13.01.2022 It’s been hard work but a great opportunity to work with the Freedman team over the past couple of months. 13.01.2022 A double at Kangaroo Island! Maori Magic & Gwent both ridden by Claudia Lions. Congratulations to all connections We ventured over on Friday and took the opportunity to have a look around the island. So much devastation, so much heartache. Its still very raw and everyone has a story to tell, and these stories leaving us all in tears. There is still a huge presence by the CFS, Rescue, MFS and Defense. Its quite surreal seeing all the army trucks driving around and ...people in uniform everywhere you go! Im so glad we made the effort to go over. Thank you to the hard working committee of the KI raceclub. Its been the toughest time of their lives. You put on a great day and the track was in magnificent order. We will see you again in a couple of weeks! See more

09.01.2022 Maori Magic (Pete)ran a much improved race today finishing 2nd at Gawler. After a slow get away he circumnavigated the field to make a bold run down the outside. Its great to see him find the form we know he possesses.

06.01.2022 Desi Stra and Maori Magic taking in the beautiful sunrise this morning

05.01.2022 During this extreme heat our horses are kept comfortable with their own fans and water misters Happy horses!

05.01.2022 Love the look of determination on Superveloces (blue cap closest the fence) face in this photo from yesterday at Morphettville. He finished 4th beaten 1.4L, missing 3rd by a bob of the head. His starting price was 150/1! He showed he is still around the mark even though he was friendless in the betting. And has pulled up a treat! Good boy James

04.01.2022 The Darwin Cup Carnival for 2019 done and dusted for another year. I’m so proud of my 3 boys efforts. In total 11 starters for 3 wins, 1 second, 1 third, 3 fourths and 1 fifth. So we ended up with 9 top 5 runners. Each horse won a race which is fantastic for their connections! And funny enough all three races we won were the first race on the card. ... Special thanks goes to my owners who trusted me to take their horses across this big country of ours. It was nice to feel warm for a few weeks! Thanks also to Dash Denton for riding these boys all their work and all bar one race. And to Desiree Stra for holding the fort while I was away See more

04.01.2022 Congratulations to our very own Kate Barnes for being the SAROA owner of the month for September! Thanks for being such a loyal owner and wonderful friend!

03.01.2022 Bob (aka Karadoc Kid) is thriving in the Darwin sunshine

03.01.2022 40 day, no worries! All happy cool horses under their fans and water misters

03.01.2022 Maori Magic - Pete is not far off having a jumpout

03.01.2022 To our family, friends, clients and fellow racing family

03.01.2022 We are also able to take horses from other trainers for rehabilitation. With great facilities like the water walker.

02.01.2022 Its great for owners to come and watch their horses go through their paces in the mornings. It’s nice for them to see the care and effort that goes in to these beautiful animals every day

02.01.2022 Karadoc Kid better know as Bob! You have been a stable stalwart and absolute favourite. Purchased way back in 2013 as a yearling by Ian Forbes and the Forbes family, he was broken in by Yvonne Forrest. Won his maiden at Balaklava in 2015 with Ronnie Stewart in the saddle. Went on to win another 7 races, all with different jockeys on board! Earning over $116 000 in stakes money. Such a ratbag, rip and chew anything within reach, including countless rugs, boots and haybags. Tr...uly the Peter pan of horses mum would say, always the comedian rattling his feed bin or running his nose up the wire or pawing at the door making a big noise. To be retired at Sam Kennedys property at Birdwood and might even try his hand at being a show horse! Thanks for the memories mate, you sure are going to be missed and the stables are definitely quieter without you. See more

01.01.2022 Here’s a little movie showing one of my horses, Mossbelle, typical days working, she is usually ridden by ex jockey Erick Carter but today trackwork rider Kim Wells gave her a spin around. Hope you enjoy it

01.01.2022 Its great for owners to come and watch their horses go through their paces in the mornings. Its nice for them to see the care and effort that goes in to these beautiful animals every day
